It would still have the fastest lines in the park without the extra seats.
I disagree, I think the fastest line in the park is maXair because its 50 riders per ride and it lasts 2 minutes. The first time I went on it the line was out to Kiddy Kingdom and it only took 10 minutes to get up to the station.
But think about the loading times, much longer. It does have fast loading times, but Dragster dispatches two trains of 20. 40 riders on about a minute long ride (counting pre-launch and brake area).
Plus I was speaking of roller coasters. But I still think Dragster has a higher RPH than Maxair but not by much.
Well, ive never really been in a long line for Top Thrill Dragster because the only time I went on it was early in the morning and there was no one there.
I think that TTD looks better without the bulky looking tires on the back, it looks alot better in my opinion without the wheels even if it messes up the themeing.

i dont know if anyone noticed last year, but the halloweekends theming by dragster featured a Herz (spelling) with a dragster fin (obviously formerly on the ride) screwed onto the back. When I saw that I was like "if they are doing stuff like that to it - the theming is never coming back"
A lot like "Race for the FRY!!"

I am currently pursuing my degree in Mechanical Engineering. In order to earn my degree, the freshman Composition 1 class was and is the only English credit I need.
Is that sad? Perhaps. Either way I was there the night the tire came off, and watched the tires spinning on the brake run I was in line last night. The bolts simply could not hold under the forces. If that guy does have an accredited degree, he didnt pay attention in Statics.
I think the trains did look a lot better with the tires and engine, but whatever they need to do to make the ride work I guess. The extra seats also help the capacity so its really all for the better, except for the looks and a lack of theming.
Thrills Around the Corner!
When they took off the theming, did they have to add another gate to load the extra seats on the train?
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Yes, they did that during the first notable period of downtime in June of 2003. Contaminates in the System, if I remember correctly. They opened the ride up for 2-3 days in the middle of June only to shut it right back down until July 4.
If you at the ground in the station you can see how the concrete around numbers 8 and 9 looks different from the rest of the platform. A few patches were made to cover the spots where the old gates once met the ground too.
