So how was the ride?

I went on Windseeker for the first time during the night. It was amazing. I think it was the perfect addition to the park.

I love it at night.

I cant wait to ride it Wednesday!

I finally got a ride on WindSeeker at King's Island, going in with low thrill expectations. The ride experience was possibly even lower than I expected, as I found it less thrilling than Wave Swinger.

The ride is gorgeous to look at, both day and night, and the view is nice. But, it simply shouldn't have been marketed as a thrill ride, as it created disappointment.

Also, as someone else noted, it doesn't even make that great of an observation tower, as you're spinning and don't get a still glimpse to observe detail.

The good news is that it didn't make me sick, as there weren't really any strong forces on your body in any way. I haven't ridden it at night yet, but I imagine it'll be more fun then.

Overall, I think it's nice to look at, but kind of a forgettable experience. I feel like this ride really didn't fill any gaps in CP's line-up, and I'm not sure who this ride is for? The height too scary for some kids and families, and thrill-seekers aren't getting the desired thrills. I'll be adding this to my 15 minute or less wait group.

Also, my view may have been tainted a bit by the group of non-enthusiast people I was with, who described it as awful, boring, a huge disappointment, etc. And since I was in an odd numbered group, I got paired with a 6-year old. While the ride was spinning at the top, he said to me, "This just isn't as fun as they made it look." So, I'm thinking...Wow, even a young kid was disappointed...

I enjoyed my two rides last week. It is not what I would call a thrill ride and even the height didn't particularly scare me, but I found it relaxing and fun. I enjoyed looking out on the park while swinging around. It seemed like most of the people were enjoying themselves when I rode.

Having said that, I kind of agree with your comment on not having any particular audience. It is not a thrill ride, but it is too tall and the 52" height requirement makes it not a family ride.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!

The ride action certainly isn't really thrilling, the thrill for me came from the height the first couple times I rode it. Now, I'm used to the height, but I still find the ride fun and entertaining. I like the music, the open air feelling and the very smooth vibration free ride. Makes you kind of feel like you are zooming around in your own futuristic flying pod.

I'll stick to night rides at CP. The daytime ride just didn't do it for me. Swinging out looking out into the darkness of the lake was pretty sweet.

Ride was closed all day when I went Tuesday. Opened late though. Looked cool, but not thrilling at all. Kind of a waste in my eyes. But just my opinion.

Yeah, I'm betting that I'll like a night ride more. And I agree that it was a pleasant ride, but just forgettable. If the ride dropped or you laid face down, flying, I think it would have been more entertaining.

Still though, I would have personally been happier if CP had put the $5 million into reopening Pirate Ride with all new theming, or if they gave us some kind of dark ride. It was a clear gap that they needed to fill.

How long have the wait times been for this ride on average? Meaning, is it a ballpark 15-so minute MaxAir wait, or more like an hour?

Promoter of fog.

Whenever I've ridden, it's been a 15 - 30 min. wait, so more like Maxair.

I went on it for the first time recently, and found Ffej's review to be spot-on. I rode at night with a strong wind, which made things a little more exciting, but the overall ride is still pretty boring. I had about as much fun watching the lighting package while standing in line.

I really wonder if this was anticipated to be more thrilling in the design phase.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

^I was wondering the same thing.

I love the ride for the views, but the thrill factor isn't really there. It's pretty to look at, and is overall an okay ride (In my opinion).

I rode WindSeeker once at night and once in the day; the night ride was much better, looking out and seeing all the rides lit up and everything.

I do not think the ride qualifies as a thrill ride, but is a nice, relaxing way to get an outstanding view of the park.

Also, the lighting is REALLY cool at night! :)

The only thing that really made it sound thrilling is the fact the ride is 300 AND 1 feet tall. While I was waiting in line for my first ride, all I could think about is how thrilling it will be to go 301ft high spinning with your feet dangleing below, but it really wasn't that thrilling..
