Anyone who has been on Windseeker please give your opinions on the ride. Anyone ride it at night. I think that would be so cool with the light package and it being over the late.
I rode it and liked it. Load time is slow, but not Skyhawk slow. I think once they hit their groove, you'll be looking at better load times.
The view is amazing, but nothing we have not seen before with Space Spiral.
The ride was very smooth and the music is an excellent touch. We came close to the seats in front of us on the way down, but not as close as the first ride video suggests.
I give the ride a 7 of 10. I'll ride again this season as I want a night ride, but that's probably it. I go for the coasters. Always have and always will and this most likely won't make my agenda as it is not thrilling enough.
Yeah I emailed CP the link to the video showing those seats all over the place and almost hitting. Asked if they were going to do anything about it? Seems not to good and idea to me.
I suspect that the problem of seats coming too close to one another is the reason that last weekend they were testing with full loads on half of the seats. That would represent a "worst case scenario" and if the seats stay adequately separated under that condition, then under a normal full load it should not be a problem at all.
Obviously this is the problem that the dampers at the top of the sweep was supposed to solve.

Or probably did solve, at least partially. Just imagine how much worse it could be without the dampers.

Other than having a different point of view, not having to look through the dirty windows or listening to 50 screaming kids in a enclosed cabin.

Did the ride make anyone dizzy or sick to your stomach.

I have to ask because it seems so outlandish, but how is it a different point of view?
Every ride has a different point of view because every ride is in a different location. There are thinhgs you can see from Windseeker that you can't see from any other ride because it's the only ride that goes up 300' in that specific location.

Since someone mentioned it...
Has Space Spiral operated this season? I just made my third visit to Cedar Point this season on Sunday, and it has not been running during any of my three visits. I was kind of hoping to get a ride on it before it turned into an oven...

Except for Space Spiral which is less than 300' feet to the right. So unless you're referring to the ground directly below the ride, it is no different than Windseeker.
Rideman. I rode Space Spiral last Saturday, so it is running. However, on the weekdays I've been, it has been closed.
I love it! I can't say when my first ride was, but it was at night and the view was stunning! I rode it twice today when I got off work, and it was beautiful! Sun was out, smooth ride as usual, and a clear sky made it an incredible ride!
^^I have to agree with Jason. WS's views (though similar to Space Spiral) are still a different perspective. I think the fact that it's open and you have more more freedom of view makes it more enjoyable than Space Spiral. I mean you're kinda limited to a straight out (dirty) view of CP from Space Spiral where you can look everywhere and anywhere you can pivot your head on Windseeker. Of course Windseeker isn't for everyone so, obviously, families with smaller kids have to get those views from Space Spiral.
So, in essence, I count Windseeker as a better and far more enjoyable Space Spiral. Not thrilling (unless you have a fear of heights) but very enjoyable. And those night or evening rides are simply stunning. I give it an 8 out of 10.

Cool dude. Yeah I'm going to have to wait until the end of this month to get my first taste of Windseeker, but I'm glad it's up and running! As they always say "Patience is a virtue". :)
I'm interested in the thrill level for myself. Heights are my greatest fear, yet I'm still a coaster junkie. This one should be quite the experience.

Out of sheer curiosity, did you think that you noticed something they didn't?
Promoter of fog.
I rode it at about 9:00 p.m. (semi-dark at night) on Wednesday and around mid-day on Thursday, and I must say I had a blast riding it. Half of the people whom I came with found it to be ridicilously scary, but I disagreed. The ride up was very calming, yet exciting at the same time, and the lighting was beautiful at night. I was lucky enough to have jumped in line a little after it closed due to rain, so the line was pretty short :). The view was very nice, though the entire time I was there, I would watch the ride and still feel as though I was watching a computer simulation when I was somewhat far away.
On second thought let's not go to Six Flags, 'tis a silly place.
My close buddy of mine ride it wednesday morning for Joe cool hour, and when i got home from work, i got a message on my machine from my mom (?) with her saying that my friend told my mom that windseeker was awesome. then i get another message with my friend tellling me that the ride was lame, but she liked it!
I had to sit down for that one........... :P
It's interesting. Not really sure how to define it. I guess it really comes down to the type of person you are that determines if this is a thrill ride. If you are terrified of heights, this is going to make you pee yourself. If you can handle heights and don't mind WIDE-OPEN seats that are very easy to rock back and forth, then this is a nice relaxing ride with an amazing view. I was in between. I didn't mind the heights... until I realized how easy it was to rock the swings. The second time I rode it, it was much more windy at the top, so the swings were swaying and that kinda made me nervous. The ride itself is very smooth and gentle. I rode the Wave Swinger just for kicks and I realized the Wave Swinger pulls more G's than Windseeker. Overall, I would say that Windseeker is a very good addition to the park. I really enjoyed it. I'll probably ride this a couple of times per visit. Not sure I'd call it a thrill ride though- the only intensity that comes from this ride is being 300 feet off the ground. And oh, the music on the ride is a nice touch, too! :)
