So Everybody is pretty cool at cp then?

This will be my first year... and I'm a pretty shy guy... am I gonna make a lot of friends? =-P

you should have no problem making freinds, most people that work at the point are pretty outgoing and once you get comfortable with your job and crew you will find making friends is not real hard, and that you will bond with them rather quickly. I still have freinds in Europe that i keep in touch with even though i have not worked at the point for two years now!!!!

Wow, thats pretty cool... now I'm a musician... I play guitar... are there a lot of people there that are musicians too? maybe i could put together a band or something...

Where are u working at? i am on white water landing in park ops. Last year was my first and i made alot of good friends there

Hopefully I'm gonna be working Magnum w/ Corey... he says he can get me on it with him... he still has yet to turn my app. in... but i'll be able to get in... i put my start date for may 30th... i'm looking forward to having a great summer...

I worked with COrey on Millenum force last year for a few weeks....hes a great guy to work with...no combusting chickens but there are crazy birds during the summer that like to attact and others that like to eat each otherlike seaguls

I am also new this year. I am going to be the bartender at the Breakwater Cafe. I am sure that you'll make some friends Skapone. Just be yourself and have fun. Everything else will fall into place. I am going to be new also, I will be working in admissions. I dont think it will be too difficult to meet new people. Just be open minded I guess that is what I have gathered from most of these posts.

Hey what's up everybody. I've kinda taken an abscence from CP place for the past few months :( i'm a college freshman right now and let's just say the transition has been, exhausing and awesome. Well anyways, I applied to cedar point and am really hoping i get the opportunity to work there. First of all i'm curopis as to how good of chances i have to being a ride op I do not want to be one of those guys going around scraping up cigarette butts, but there's other positions I wouldn't mind. Just curious on how some of you guys got started in your kick butt positions? Thanks

Well not in the exact same position Sean. I mean we're all getting used to our rides and everything if we're on new ones just like you, but some of the old employees are rather....cliquish, if you want to put it that way. If you're there from the way beginning on, it's a diff story but I remember my first season in rides, I started in the middle of the season because I had just graduated from high school and had to wait for a hockey tournament in the beginning of June. I had a MUCH harder time adjusting than say last year when I already knew a ton of people who were up there. I love meeting new people though and look forward to meeting all of you (maybe).
