Well this past season my best friend from high school worked there and she loved it. She was only there for a few weeks because she got very sick and had to go home but the time she spent there she said was great! It seemed like a cool job from what she would tell me:)

I could always see the Sneek Peeks folks from my perch in the Group Sales Booth last year... From my observations, it looks like they walk around with a camera in front of the front gate, approaching groups of guests and asking them to pose for a picture. If the guests agree, you take their picture and (I think) give them some sort of ticket which they can take to the Sneek Peeks booth later in the day to pick up their photo and decide if they want to purchase it.

I'm sure there's a lot more to the position than that, but my knowledge of it comes from observation only since I work for Park Admissions. (A tip if you're worried about the sun -- the employees I saw were wearing those blue baseball caps you can purchase at Wardrobe...that probably helps to keep the sun off your face!)

Later in the season.. Some of the Sneek Peeks people actually roamed the park. Taking pictures of people in various places. The Snake River Falls walkway between Snake and Swans was a popular one.

Don't know if they are going to do it again this year.

Thanx for all the help guys! I also read on here that you have to get a certain pair of shoes...do you buy those up there, where you get the ball caps? Sorry for all the questions....

Rachel--Pittsburgh, PA

You can buy those things at Wardrobe.

Personailly, I won't buy shoes at wardrobe because they don't last for me. Most depts. require white tennis shoes but to double check call your manger and make sure..

Do the shoes fall apart like they used too?
Hi Rachel.. welcome to Sneak Peeks.. I'm the sup there, so I can tell you basically anything you want to know.. you'll be out in the sun a lot basically were out there from like 8:30 till noon at least.. and some people stay out till 2 or so, but we alternate who stays out that late..we can wear visors or hats, and merch supplies the sunscreen. You get pretty used to it..You'll do fine as long as you can be outgoing and talk a lot of guests into getting pictures..in no time at all you'll be shooting 12 disks of film a day.. and the commission is fun too!
Which brings up a question: what other positions involve commission? For example, I would think that Guessers are, but have no idea whether or not this is true.
I wish I could be a Peeker!

It's a hard job, but a lot of fun (well, from my perspective anyway). You're either cut out for it or you're not. As long as you can handle a lot of mean rejections you'll be fine. And if you can handle rejections you'd also be good for Guest Services...

YaySP, are you who I think you are?

Duh Tyler.. how many supervisors of Sneak Peeks are there.. just me!! Well, Stephanie is going to be my assistant supervisor this year.. so that should be fun.. did you hear little Christy from 2001 is coming back? It's like the sneak peek all stars this year! Yay!
YaySP, I hope I described the position correctly for Rachel. I wouldn't want to give anyone the wrong impression based on my lack of first-hand experience!

(You probably don't know me but if you were the sup of Sneek Peeks last year I've seen you and your crew around a lot...my perch was in the glorious Group Sales Booth for the past two years ^_^ ). You guys work hard out there under the sun!
