Snake River Falls not open for days...

I was their last Saturday, and while I was riding the train I saw them working on the drop part. Not sure what they were doing though.

I love Cedar Point

Not running as of 2:20pm. Must have just been some quick testing.

Hmmm.... I hope they are not putting longer brakes on the drop, but I can see that as something that would be done as a reaction to the kid's broken arm, if that is in fact true. When they put the original brakes on the drop a number of years ago, it slowed the drop down a little but not too bad. If they do lengthen the brakes I think that will be annoyingly noticeable and possibly kill the ride.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Probably would make the splash smaller too.

I didn't even know they had breaks on the drop...

Me to one boat has test dummies in it.

How come the live webcam never works for me? It always shows just a black screen...

Looks like SRF is testing continuously now (agreed that some boats have dummies in them, too).

Are you giving it enough time to load? It pops up black on mine to for a few seconds, then says streaming video, then it comes on. It probably takes about 10 seconds.

Today's Sandusky Register said there was an "unspecified injury" of a boy riding it. Apparently, the ride is cleared to operate, but they are doing maintenance.

It's running fine today.

Holiday world also isn't right next to one of the Great Lakes.

Cedar Point hasn't used lake water in a ride since the original Shoot the Rapids. Trust me you wouldn't want to ride it let alone work on it.

^Doesn't Thunder Canyon use lake water?

Blech, I can't stand lake water. Really the only reason I don't ride thunder canyon as much. That stuff will burn your skin off.

Who doesn't like a water ride were there is a chance a fish might get dropped in your boat? :)

I stand corrected......

This is a random, kind of off topic question, but do they drain Thunder Canyon for the off-season?
