does anybody know why? On the live webcam, it has been closed for days and days. Have they moved the cars to Shoot The Rapids?
I doubt the cars have been moved to STR. No reason too. Probably just had a big issue and they need to wait for a part...
The original STR boats didn't even fit, so Snake River Fall's would definitely not fit. :)
Let's Get Weird.
Holiday world was running Pilgrim's Plunge on a limited basis so as to help with the drought situation. I don't think it's as bad up here. But, perhaps CP is doing the same.

When I was there on the 9th (Monday) it was closed as well, but I'm pretty sure I saw them running it (couldn't tell if there were people, but I assume it was a dry run) when I was over by the Maverick.
Just signed up BTW, great site. I hadn't been to CP in probably 9 years until we went Monday. Now we're already planning a Halloweekends trip.
I was also there on monday and I dont think it ran all day. When we went by it, there wasn't even any water running for it to run. That and the car was stopped about 1/4 of the way up the lift. Sometime around 8, I did see some people working on something on the lift, but have no idea what that could have been. I have a feeling this ride is reaching the end of its life at cedar point....
Yeah it was certainly stopped on the lift. I wouldn't mind seeing it gone, water rides aren't my favorite. I do feel bad for the person in my Mine Ride seat after me since I hit it right after my Thunder Canyon run. I had to hit a coaster with a short line to dry off, and those happened to by Mine Ride and Mean Streak.

Because something is broken on it and they are working to fix it?
If that was cause for ending a rides life, the park would be empty.

No, because its old and they have 2 other water rides. I think its not really all that diffrent from STR. Its just my opinon that its not going to be around in 5 more years....
Since we are talking opinions here, I'll take SRF and TC any day over STR.
And, TC is quite a bit older than STR.
I dont ever remember riding SRF but Thunder Canyon and Shoot the Rapids are both nice rides if you want to cool off.
Favorite coaster: Millennium Force
Favorite flat: maXair
SRF and STR are much different. On STR you don't get soaked and you travel at farther lengths, and don't forget STR having 2 drops.
Speaking of shoot the rapids though, when I was there Saturday it was hot and crowded and they were not filling the middle rowes on the ride... I thought they fixed this problem...

They're completely different. On one you get soaked and on the other you go on a concrete themed voyage.
We were there the day they shut it down. A kid got hurt on the ride - possibly a broken arm. We were standing in line when they told us it was closed. EMS showed up and splinted the kids arm and walked him out with his parents. Then maintenance showed up and then the guys in shirts and ties showed up. They pulled the boat out that the kid was in and were going over it with a fine tooth comb.
Please remain seated until the ride comes to a complete AND final stop.....

I'm watching SRF operate on the live cam right now. Empty boats, but it's up and running.
EDIT: And, of course, since I posted this I haven't seen a single boat.
They call me Sheehan.
