smaller rides

hey whats up everyone. This is Dan from michigan. This will be my first season working at c.p. startin april 28 till the end of oct anyways my question is my job title states i will be a job host for turn park cars, what exactly is that and also is it a fun ride to work. Also if anyone wants to ever talk my aol screen name is sweetguyinmi1983.

I am not sure if it is a fun ride to work or not but Turn Pike cars aree those gas powered cars that people drive along that railing they go slow. And they are designed after Model-Ts

Hey whats up Dan, I worked it one time, it wasnt that bad, a little fast paced, but keeps you moving, a good thing. WEAR SUNSCREEN! I am good friends with one of your blue tags, John. He's cool. I think you will like the pikes. Have a great summer! ~A
I belive the turnpike cars are the gas powered cars, that are modeled after cars from the 50-60's. They are betwen Blue Streak and Raptor.

all the rides are fun to work. i have never had a bad day because of a particular ride and i have worked quite a few of them. everyday is what you make of it as is every ride. the most important part is how this experience affects your life and if you are a positive person who is trying hard then you will do fine. the crews really make the experience as do all the fun and interesting people you meet. if you have any more specific questions or just want to chat in general, my aol im name is psumagnum. good luck this summer!

I stand corrected.

"What If I Avenge? What If Eye For An Eye?"

Well PSUMAGNUM does have a good point. All the rides are fun to work but it also depends opn your overall attitude.

But small rides are still good rides. (i'm at 297 I'm trying for 300 tonight)

My husband worked on Turnpikes for a season, and had a lot of fun. Beware, your hand will hurt from jumping cars and pressing on the lever all the time! He still has the callus, even years later. In a lot of ways it's better than the car rides that are on the main midway, because closing goes a lot more quickly. Have fun!

I myslef am on Torika,Chaos and Super Himalay and I love working Chaos and Troika.Super Himalaya is fun to work too but you are by yourself so it is fast paced which is good.Keeps things going.

I am really looking forward to working on the Monster and Witches' Wheel this year. Never worked in rides before, so I am doubly ready to get started. :)

I worked paddlewheel the last two years, it was great, nicer guests, we got to interact more with them then the bigger rides do. More of a relaxed atmosphere, alas, I've kissed that goodbye and moved on to Thunder Canyon, after two years on a smaller ride, I'm looking forward to the challenge of something bigger, but i wouldn't trade the paddlewheel experience for anything, hope that crew has as much fun as we did.

I worked on the Monster one evening last May...my gosh my hand killed from pushing those pins into place. I also worked on the Antique cars twice. That was fun. it's fast paced and makes the day go by faster...

Game 1 of the CCHA Semifinals..Michigan-2 Ohio State-1 in sudden death overtime..GO BLUE!!!!

pikes = back pain and allot of yelling at the kids over the mic. Everytime I came back from my split I remember hearing jason ball saying "do not stop your cars" "keep your car moving"
