Skype????

So my phone interview isn't until Tuesday but my friend had his and he had to set up a Skype interview afterwards! I'm not sure why that makes me nervous but it does! Rehires, do you have to do a Skype interview or is it just a new hire thing...just curious

Jake, numerous people have told you and have posted that it's only for new hires.

I have a Skype interview scheduled and I am also a first year. I'm a little nervous about it, because nothing to me is more awkward than having a Skype conversation with someone who you don't know that well. I will be keeping my fingers crossed. I really want to be a ride host.

Sorry. It's just that I don't have Skype, and if I did, I'd probab;y be like you when I would be using it.

I'm not too nervous about the Skype interview, unless questions are asked that totally throw me off. I'd be more nervous with an interview face to face. Has anyone on here had a Skype interview yet?

For me the skype interview was pretty easy. She just asked questions like tell me a time when... & what elements was I comfortable working in.

& for games?

The questions they ask really are not that hard.
From personal memory, in my interview they asked about some of my personal achievements, previous employment, how I would deal with long hours etc etc
The 3 questions they'll ask you that determine which ride they want to place you at though, are if you are afraid of heights, if you like working with children or not, and whether you prefer slow or fast paced work.

As for the skype issue, I am a returning employee and have set up a skype interview, but this is only because I live overseas at the moment and my manager doesn't want to use a calling card for the interview.

No need to panic about the skype interviews anyways, either.

Did you dress up for the interview on Skype?

Personally, I am going to wear a Hollister dress shirt and some jeans. They are only going to be able to see your face and torso, so there really is no point in going all out.

I wore a white polo, but I highly doubt it matters. The interview was pretty informal.

Nice! Congratulations! This is going to be one of the best summers you ever had. I don't know anybody on your crew, but I can guarantee they're gonna be awesome. Not to mention you're working one of the most popular roller coasters in the world!
