^That's very true in many cases.

CP has a long history of having its rides open more often than others. TTD really put them on their toes though.

Well, until they slap a whole bunch of signs that read "this attraction opens at 11" on them....

that has nothing to do with mantainence. that has to do with no gets back to ride those rides in the early morning. statistics have proved this. Same reason how disney's epcot doesn't open the World Showcase till later after the whole park opens. It's also a strategy.

well maybe that goes to show how other parks mantain their rides! not to bash at all but skyhawk is fine.

Ummm, this is Kennywood we're talking about here. The land of loving care for all rides. The place that has a ride from 1901 still operating, and rollercoasters from way back in 1921 that still run like they're brand new.

I don't think it's a maintenance issue.

Exactly.

OMG! 1111111!!!! It broked! Nothing ever breaks down at Cedar Point! ;)

well kennywood doesn't have anything as powerful and complicated like half the shat at CP. i'm done arguing. it's dumb.

Kennywood has Pitt Fall, Phantom's Revenge, Exterminator and Swingshot, which are all "up to snuff" with the Cedar Point rides. Not to mention they have 3 wooden coasters that run like they're brand new, while CP can't even keep the 2 that they have anywhere close.

So, they don't have a Top Thrill Dragster or an Intverted like Raptor (yet), but the amount of classic rides that they do have are probably harder to maintain than the newer rides at CP, simply due to the lack of available parts.

Just because a place isn't Cedar Point, doesn't mean that they don't do a good job with maintaining their rides. I only WISH that Cedar Point gave some of their rides the loving care that Kennywood does.

does.

I always thought that Blue Streak has never ran very rough at all. MS on the other hand... It may be running better now, but not always.

If MS didn't have trims. Oh what a ride it would be.

We rode it last weekend and it was so dry that it felt like driving over busted up asphalt on just rims.

Jen actually said that she likes Mean Streak better than Blue Streak, and I'm starting to agree with her.

We got a trimless ride last sunday in the back seat, right after a reset so the taks didn't have any pressure yet, and boy-oh-boy what a ride that was.
