Skyhawk AND ????

Today I was looking at cedarpoint's onpoint blog and noticed this question... Are you guys building something for 2006 besides Skyhawk?

Good question.

I wouldn't read into that to much.

It'll just turn out to be another "Plans for 2006" trick.

As far as rides go, I wouldn't read into that. But there can be all kinds of additions. Since foods didn't really add anything other than changing the Kiddieland menu, I'd expect them to do something. Anyway that's my gut feeling.

I wouldn't look TOO FAR into it, but that is definately really weird.

2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

Well, Gemini is getting a little TLC:), so maybe that is what they mean. Or, a new store, gift shop, etc.

Lara Croft - The Ultimate Tomb Raider!

"Wind it up!!"

Funny, the only thing I see in the press photo that uses any of that wood that was delivered could be the fence around the ride.

I'm sure Mine Ride or Gemini might use some of that to sturdy them up. Maybe a new store or some refurbishing of the old shops.

The wood is going to be used on Gemini.

I hope when they change the kiddyland menu, they don't get rid of the chicken ranch wrap in the stand under maXair. It's only around $6 with a bag of chips and also very tasty. Not to mention its one of the only things there that actually fits into my diet program (minus the ranch dressing of course, but who's counting :-P)

Along with that comment response, I thought that this was cool:

Are you going to sell any of the boats from White Water Landing?

We’re checking on that for you.

I'm sure they'd be a lot more than I'm willing to pay, but it's kind of cool, anyways...And, where the hell would you put a canoe in your house?

Last public train of 2005 on MF!

In the bathtub? ;)

Mayor, Lighthouse Point

Hahaha. I bet if they do sell them, people will buy them. Maybe a couple hundred or even thousand dollars.

MrScott, maybe it could BECOME the bathtub. :)

I would just go canoeing in mine.

And you would probably bang up against the sides of the river you were canoeing in too. :)

The chicken wrap was new in 2005. What I meant is it was the only new thing in foods, other than macaroni's halloween change. In 2004, they added 3 places (donut, famous dave, game time).

It is kind of odd though. There is no way they will have enough time to build anything of great size where WWL was. But The question was: "

Good question."

I think Gemini is already built! Tony and Tyler better get a good paycheck, because they are doing a good job keeping us on the edge.

2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3

Ok, here's a rundown

SkyHawk - New for 2006
Wood - New for Gemini
WWL - gone for 2006
WWL land - Will be used for something future (i.e. NOT 2006)

There is no edge to be kept on. WWL is being removed for future development. Probably because they want to get some site prep done this offseason to help out the construction next off season of whatever goes in. If you think about it, they have 6 months (Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr) to build a coaster during some of the worst weather in the midwest. Any kind of head start that they can get is worth it. If they are going coaster in 07 (which seems to be likely) the removal of WWL (probably at least 45 day project) won't cut into their construction time next fall. Not to mention with a good number of footers laid, they can start vertical construction as soon as the park is closed.

Goodbye MrScott

Mikey -

I was referring to Coastern3rd's post above mine. The wood's purpose has already been disclosed, discussed and laid to rest.

Something else may be coming, like a new drinking fountain, or maybe a new eatery, etc. Don't hold your breath for anything big... actually, go ahead and hold your breath. ;)

Brandon

Some person told me on closing day they were getting two "thrill" rides for 2006, but I doubt that.

Yet I said back in the day, Gemini gets a new control booth and Magnum a new station.

Guess we'll see.
