Sky Ride not running?

That's different though. While Olds is no more, its parent, GM still is. And most, if not all Olds models had the mostly the same parts as their GM counterpart (ex: Oldsmobile Bravada and GMC Jimmy) so those parts are still being made.

Bravada & Jimmy. Thats all. Intrigue, Aurora, Alero & Cutlass were very different from their W, J and A Body counterparts. There was a time when every GM brand was different, and Olds up until its untimely death was still different than the rest of GM.

GM SPO was never required to keep Olds parts in stock. We did however leave a plan in place to provide parts through the end of 2007 to save warranty costs. But it is probably easier (and cheaper) to go to your local parts shop and get the parts now.

Skyride was open Sunday all day. There were no winds though.

Even if Huss is bankrupt, couldn't Huss supply CP with the drawings for the part for a fee (or free). Lastly why doesn't CP have their own engineers who can design a part and have it produced in a timely fashion.

Well if it takes 10 mph to close down Sky Ride, How fast does Wind speed have to be to not let Raptor run for the day? I know they ran it last year in the wind and it didn't make it in test run.

The trains on Raptor are a lot heavier than one car on Sky Ride.

Most of us alumni can go outside on any given day and tell you if Sky Ride would be running or not ;)

There is probably something in the Ohio ride safety codes that keeps a park from doing this. Not to mention it would be pretty expensive to have them reverse engineer a part AND have it work properly.

^ You are easily tripling the price if you do something like that.

And wouldn't that shift liability as well?

^insurance companies hate that.

From what I understand, Sky Ride did open for short time Saturday, but then went down due to wind the rest of the day.
