Six Flags Worlds of Adventure or Geauga Lake?

People need to know that it is no longer Six Flags. I hear guests all the time call the rides by their older names.

When I was there with my sister and my four-year-old last weekend, I was concerned about an ugly bug bite on my daughter's leg. Her thigh was swollen and red, so we went to the first aid station by the waterpark entrance. After examining it and deciding it didn't need treatment at that time, the nice folks there told us that if it needed looked at again, to come back there, or to the other station, "right under Superman". Those were the medic's words, a park employee. Needless to say, I was a little too worried about my daughter's leg to correct her. Funny.

Props to the medical staff at both first aid stations. They were terrific, and patient with my VERY upset daughter. :)

Is was more busy when it was SFWOA but a lot of rides were always closed. I like it as GL because there is nobody ever there. Good for us bad for Cedar Fair.

Crowds are picking up a little this year. At least the midways seem to be packed when I visit. The lines for rides are still non-existant.

I never got on half the coasters until CF took over. They were always closed with SF, especially Head Spin.

Isn't that weird? I've seen what you're talking about, but I don't get it. How can the midways be packed but the ride lines virtually empty? Are people going to the park but not riding anything? Bizarre.

Not complaining, just mystified.

Well, the midways, especially around Pepsi Plunge, aren't exactly the widest ones ever built...

True, true. Sometimes this year I feel like a peep walking around, with a little thought balloon that says, "This park sure is crowded!"

Rebel Brad, I highly suggest you stop making posts in favor of Six Flags or else you will face like three more pages of criticism.

Why does Top Thrill Dragster's station have seven flags? Because we're better than Six Flags!

Season Pass Holder-2003/2004/2005/2006

This is just a thought, but could the Midways being crowded, and the rides not being full be related to the new and improved ride ops?

I mean if CF is running more rides, and running them more efficiently than wouldn't cause the line to move smoother and quicker?

I don't know if this is the case or not, but it seems like the last few times I have been to GL, the Midways are as packed as I have ever seen them, but most of the rides are still walk-ons.

Like I said, just a thought...

KATSDADA that is a good thought. The midways aren't all that wide, but still there are usually a ton of people out there. One thought I had is that many of those people could be coming/ going from WWK.

Why would someone get bashed for that, all he was saying was that SF was more packed and had better attendence then now. He's only telling the truth. It's now a better park now then when SF had it.

The midway can be jamed and still have walk-ons because the capacity of the park far exceeds the crowds. Especially now that CF has improved the operations of said rides. Remember that SFI was building a park that was to attract over 1.5 million before acquiring Sea World. All the more reason not to see any big rides in the near future, not that i claim to know what is coming in. My money's still on a new and improved kiddie land.

^I agree that GL could use a revamped kiddie land.

I've been going to geauga lake for a while. Up untill 2003 I lived in cleveland when i moved to sandusky. While living in sandusky, i worked at cp in 2004, and our employee pass was good at geauga lake. I went to GL about 11 times that year. Even though CP was a 2 minute drive down the street. In 2005 my girlfriend and I had moved on from working at cedar point, but we were still living in sandusky. We have been season passholders to CP ever since. Well, we still went to Geauga Lake 5 times that year, and this year we are living in toledo, and have CP/GL combo passes, and we've been to each park about 8 times this year. We love geauga lake for the water park, and is the reason why we go. The ride side is fun, but dominator is still rough through the second half, and don't get me started on the hang and bang. We just took her whole family to GL yesterday, and they had more fun than our last visit to CP, and for a lot less money

You people were syaing Geauga lake was good right until it became named SFO and then SFWOA and now that Six Flags is not in the name the park is good again?. Well your forgetting Six Flags acutally did own the park for a few years before even branding the park. So how can the park be AMAZING in 1999 but crappy in 2000 once it has Six Flags in the name? Same owners as the year before? I see alot of Six Flags hating.

Who in particular was that directed to?
