Six Flags Great America 9/9/10

Decided to go to the park with a couple of freinds. Got there shortly after it opened. We walked on to Superman Ultimate Flight, Batman, and V2 (I still think that it is better than WT). After that we walked over to Eagle but line was about a half an hour, so we skiped it. We decided to make our way to the Raging Bull, it wasn't bad, but not the best either. Next was Viper, in line I heard this guy behind us say that the number one ranked stell coaster was MAGNUM Force at Cedar point. Viper is a pretty good ride if you sit in the back. When we got off Viper we decided to ride the Dark Knight which had no line. The ride isn't that great, but it's ok if there is no line. We rode Baatman once more. I have to say Raptor is a much better, smoother ride. Rode Raging Bull in the back, from now on, this is the only way I will ride this ride. The rest of the day we pretty much walked around and rode flats, and took the train around. Did get one ride in on Eagle. A few rides on Ragin' Cajin', which is a cool ride with a single rider line so you can walk right on. At the end of the day we got to rereide Viper. A pretty fun trip.

Ride Totals

Raging Bull: 2x Best in Back

Viper: 3x Pretty good ride

Superman: 2x To me the first loop has lost a little bit of it's intensity

V2: 1x The launch seems extremely slow after being on TTD

Ragin' Cajin': x3

Dark Knight: x4

Batman: x2 Ok ride, but too short

American Eagle Blue: x1 Alright in back row

Iron Wolf: x1 Very rough

CP vs. SFGAm in my opinion

My first trip back here after going to Cedar Point and this is what I have to say.

At Cedar Point seems much smaller than Cedar Point as far as rides go.

Cedar Points walkways are much wider.

Cedar Point's staff seems a little more friendly.

Six Flags does have larger free water glasses. :)

Another thing that SFGAm might have as far as rides go is wooden rides, Eagle and Viper are both decent rides.

Thanks for reading :)

^Yes I know that the guy behind me in line did not, and I don't know, I just figured that I would share my day at Six Flags. Sorry if I broke any website rules.

he did a comparison. I call Great America kiddieland compared to Cedar Point. While most of the rides are the same, CP's are just a bit taller, faster, ect. I live 20 minutes from GA, and I'd rather drive to CP than goto GA for my thrills. Probably the reason I worked at CP. I wanted to work at the best.

^That is pretty much the way I feel. Great America isn't horrible though, it just really dosen't stand up to Cedar Point.

I wasn't saying that you said that, I was just stating what I thought.

What I am trying to say is when you have the title as "Six Flags Great America 9/9/10", it really seems like you are making a trip report about Great America. If you were comparing every ride to Cedar Points, it would be different.

Sorry, I thought I would share my experience and some thoughts I had. Next time I guess I won't post a trip report.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing trip reports for other parks. Whether they belong here or in another section is up to Walt as far as I am concerned. It would be nice to be able to see what other people have said about other parks when we start planning next years vacation, or the year after that, etc.

coolkid2345 - Let us handle moderating. We don't need multiple comments whenever you think something doesn't belong.

This trip report is appreciated, but fits in better at CoasterBuzz.
