Yes I know this is a Cedar Point site, but I went to Six Flags Worlds of Adventures park in Ohio. I just want to say I'm happy that this park that I went to 3 years ago is nothing like the thrill park today. So I'm happy to say that Six Flags has done well. But, there are many problems to be fixed. I'll go through the rides later on in this post. I didn't like them screwing in bolts with there fingers, employees racing in rental wheelchairs, 8 cashiers and not one on how to work the new register, and that they didn't even look like they knew opening day was the 5th, let just say everything was dirty. SMOKE city USA, I've never seen so many smokers in my life. CP never has as many and never will! By the way a place for families, not making them. But hey! $12.99/ticket opening day isn't bad. Oh, and I'm happy to say that the old Sea World side is still clean as can be. I'm not saying all employees were bad, at least someone asked if I was enjoying my day. Now for the rides. I'm comparing ever coaster I went on to one at Cedar Point.(Except Mind Eraser.)
Mind Eraser- Was there 3 years ago and still is one of the most thrilling in the park as yopu go backwards for the second half of the ride!
Serial Thriller (Raptor)- Not as great and not as fast as Raptor but was worth the 1/2 hr. wait. There is one point where I though my legs were goners.
Raging Wolf Bobs (Gemini)- This old coaster has met its last days hopfully. I waited 20 min. for a slow, rougher that MS piece of crap. A MUST DON'T RIDE!
Batman (Mantis)- I'd say about equal to Mantis. This is one of the two best at the park with fast turns and a great first hill. 45 min. wait well worth it.
Double Loop (Corkscrew)- Much smoother than the Corkscrew but not worth the 25 min. wait I had for the employees were messing up again.
Big Dipper (Blue Streak)- This old woodie is well worth a long wait as you get great air time on this baby the whole ride long! 20 min. wait.
Villian (Mean Strak)- This line moves the fastest in the park and the ride is incredible. This is one of the two best in the park. A lot similar to MS, but a little smoother.
Roadrunners Express (WS Express)- A little more intense then our Woodstock, but was fun.
I'm glad I made the trip out to Six Flags and would go there again this summer. I hope you make a trip too. I'm also sad to say X-Flight is being finish and I heard testing is beginning next week, but looks like it will be the best in the park. I also want to say that SF will never par up to our beloved CP and that it will always be the best. CP visit- June 25
I also want to add that the food was very good at the Jukebox Cafe, a 50's style resteraunt(lol), and not as expensive as CP.
did anyone else here go opening day to SFWOA?
