I know this is really stupid, but the other day, I was in the outside garden department at Home Depot. They have these flat carts for customers to put large or heavy things on, like bags of topsoil, plant flats and such. They have 6 large caster wheels. And when you push or pull them when they're empty, these things sound EXACTLY like the Magnum lift hill in operation!
It was soooo weird. There I was, looking for garden stuff, when I heard that familiar noise and got this real intense CP flashback. It's the combination of the wheels, and the metal structure of the cart, and bouncing on the concrete, and everything, but they sound just like Maggie climbing the hill!

When I am having a bad day at work. I will sometimes close my eyes for ten seconds and think of walking down a midway. I generaly(sp?) do this during the off season.
And speaking of shopping carts my Giant Eagle has rigid tile near there prepared foods section and the cart on that tile sounds like DT going up the hill.

Whenever I take my car to the dealership to get an oil change during the off season, I wait to listen to the anti-rollbacks on the lift. Then I sniff in sadness & go sit in the waiting room. ;)

Some people merely follow their dreams. Others hunt them down and mercilessly beat them into submission.
When I ride in my Dad's '94 Corrolla, the brakes on it sound like the brakes on Maggie at the end of ride. This only happens when he is applying them as he is turning a sharp corner.

Back in the fall I was walking out of my apartment and I saw a guy with spiky hair and lots of piercings. I know that's really weird, but I started to smell the french fries :)

Funny you should mention Modest Mouse because the first few songs of Good News for People Who Love Bad news remind me of the ride to the park, because I listened to it a couple of times on the way there, haha.

I would have to say the entire new Avenged Sevenfold cd (city of evil) reminds me of cedar point. For a majority of the 4 hour car trip to the point last summer thats all we listened to. Its funny how you can clearly recall memories in detail just by hearing a song that was played during that time.

Whenever I hear kids talk about SF:GA (It's an hour away from where I live.) I think, and sometimes say, how much better Cedar Point is going to be when I go June 21-22.
