1. When you are scheduled to work open to close or open to anytime... whatever.(just in the morning)... What time do you have to be there?!
2. When do most people take their showers... I am one of those people that HAVE to take it in the morning or my hair looks all gross...
3. In the morning are the showers usually crazy? What time do most people get up?
Okay, well basically I'm wondering how the morning routine goes. Also, what are the typical work schedules? Are you ever scheduled in the morning and afternoon or whatever and then have to rest of the day off? Well, thanks a bunch!! If you want to talk to me... "im" me at legalblonde03 or e-mail me at kristi1703@hotmail.com I am looking forward to an awesome summer and would like to meet as many people as possible... (merchandise, ride-op's, sweeps, whoever!!!) I will be working on the magnum ride photo as I have stated so many times before?!!! Thanks everyone!!!
2: Depends on the person of course. I know some who do it the night before.
3: Again.. depends on where you live and how many people are in your room/apt or dorm and when they all have to be into work.

1- We usually had to be at Raptor 30-45 minutes before opening. Sooner if it was Joe Cool. Of course I always wanted to be one of the 1st ones there to be sure I got one of the a.m. test rides :)
2- I stayed at Commons again last season. I got up early every morning and took a shower. I was basically the only one in there. Most others would wait until the last second and last bus to the Po!nt. Not me, by the time most were getting out of bed, I was already showered and chowing down in the employee caf.
3- I believe I answered those ??s above

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
1- Most of the Mantis crew were always running late (at least it seemed like it). We never had Joe Cool, so were never had to be there extrememly early.
2- I also stayed at Commons and it wasn't really too bad unless you lived near a BUNCH of ride ops that all had to be there at a certain time. If most of your neighbors don't have cars, expect to see them in the showers right when you are, since you all have to catch the bus.
3- Yeah, I believe I answered your questions too.

Magnum crew members (which is totally seperate from photo), have to be at the ride at either 9:00 (TL and/or ATL and people doing trackwalks) or 9:25 (everyone else). In general, we always tried to open before 10 - usually between 9:45 and 9:55, but a few times we opened even earlier and I suspect the crew will do the same this year since the back of the park will likely fill up quicker with Dragster being there. If we can get 500 people on the ride before we're even supposed to be open, that is a nice boost to our numbers and it makes guests happy too. :)
As far as shifts go, it might be different for merchandise, but rides shifts are typically O-C (open-close), O-6, O-8, 11:30-C, 1:30-C, or a split shift which is O-1:30 and then 6-C. 50 hours per week is probably a lowball number, 60+ is average, and 70+ is not uncommon in late July and early August.

If I dont get out of here and find me a sweet bus station skank, I might do something disgusting that I might really regret!
Thanks again!!!
Saturdays are a totally different animal all together...change all O or 8am shifts to 7:30 and you have a saturday schedual and when you remember that MF is the most popular ride photo location, you will be assured to be there to open when the ride itself opens, even if nothing else in the park is open.
Remember that, generally speaking, half the employees are working a morning shift and half are working an afternoon shift. Lightens the load on the showers.
Ride Ops on the other hand need to be presentable as well as timely so you have it extra hard!
My summer at CP I learned that being intamite with a bar of soap was not so important! I must have failed to clock in 15 times so I could make it to work on time. In that era my time card could be filled in by hand and verified by my hungover TL! It was a different era! But you still have to be on time!
