Shoot the Rapids Commercial

If I have to watch SYTYCD to see it, I never will. ;)

I really wish I could see it. Curious if I made the final cut...

I don't watch enough TV to see it live. I'll just have to wait till someone gets it on YouTube.

Saw it last night during SYTYCD. I think it would be hard to make out anyone in the commercial because the cuts are so fast. The only two people I noticed was the Old geezer and the little kid in the front row of the boat.

Yeah, I saw it last night and it is impossible to make out anyone other than the old man and the kid in the front seat. They show very brief clips of the boat coming down the big hill but it's quick. Apparently I didn't do a very good acting job when I was sitting in the front seat with the large camera in my face. Boo. Oh well, maybe I'll get another shot with the new ride coming next year.

Overall, I was pretty impressed with the commercial. And hey, even though I haven't found myself yet in the commercial, I truly enjoyed a behind the scenes look at how commercials are made.

I'm just happy that the STR commercial that came out about 1 week after our shoot wasn't the actual commercial we filmed.

By the way, I said commercial 6 times in this post.

Those of you that were in the tapings have to realize there are Promotional Vidoes Presentations Etc.. not just TV commercials ,,, you have to get the 'Entire Promo' presentations the PR and Marketing Company does for this year, and it will be used next year,(eamaple 'New Employees,Investors,Travel Agents) the TV ads are a small fraction for what is used

I just finally saw it & managed to get it on TiVo ~ lucky break for sure. My son is sitting in the front with the old guy so I did see him. Still trying to slow it down so I can see others in the other rows and boats. I have no clue how to tape it right now.

It's a good commercial ~ but of course, I would think so! ;)

BTW - it was on during Dr. Phil - 2 times. A friend called so I started TiVo.

OMG, I met the kid who is in the front row with the Old Guy. I should have gotten his autograph. I actually rode next to him later in the day, when they were shooting different angles.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll just ask it here. Does anyone know if there will be a windseeker commercial shoot this year? I haven't heard anything yet. I've seen some animated commercials, but nothing with live action yet.

"Calling all WindSeekers! We are looking for guests to ride WindSeeker during a commercial shoot next week Tuesday and Wednesday morning 6:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.. If you're interested please email socialmedia@cedarpoint.com and we will contact you with more details!"

One commercial shoot was enough for me (I was at the STR shoot). :)

Does anyone know/remember if Cedar Point shirts can be worn in the commercials?

Well for some reason they didn't send me an Email until late Sunday night. I then emailed back with a few questions and never got a response. Oh well, I'll just try and be on the 500 foot "Stinger" commercial next year. ;)

^That's awesome dude! Anytime you can be featured on any ride at Cedar Point, it's a real honor. Do you like Shoot the Rapids? I know I still enjoy it! I know when I saw this topic brought back, I thought maybe you had an update about Shoot the Rapids of when they expect to open it in 2014. I guess I have to keep waiting.

Shawn, you are so dedicated to Shoot the Rapids, I hope they get it up and going just for your sake, I truly do.

I wish I had some news for you, too.
