Yes, but I think you can buy those shoes when you process in and get your uniform. Either pay money, or get it deducted from your first paycheck.
ya, you can buy they at any store. The shoes have to be at least 90% white.
I'd recommend buying your own before you get there that way they are already broken in before you start working 50 plus hrs a week.

okay, what about resort food services? im gonna be a food host at the coffee shop in hotel breakers. what type of shoes should i buy?
If you are contracted for 3 or more months, I would recommend you buy 2 pair of shoes for the summer. You will be amazed at how much walking you do. (Especially if you work at the back of the park). The shoes will wear out in about 6-8 weeks. This is especially true for Sweeps and Ride hosts who get a ton of exercise. Unfortunately, the Dippin' dots after a long day of work cancel out the effort.
I'm too sexy for my harness!
The most comfortable shoes I found are Dr. Scholls shoes at Wallmart at around $25/pair. Might I add that they are the most comfortable of any priced shoes I've worn. The break in period is almost non existent.
I strongly recommend against buying the shoes at wardrobe. You might as well cast cement shoes and walk around with them. They are simply put, painful and won't last long.

Even though you will be a host I would assume being in FS you will need non slip shoes. I'm sure someone here will know for sure, but most likely it will be non slips as you will be in the kitchen areas at some point of the day.
maXaiRaptor, the easiest way to figure out what color of shoes is to ask Food Services. Your shoes will more than likely be black or white. It all depends on which location you are assigned. Call Food Services (419-627-2324) if you really want to know. They will be able to tell you. If not, they will assist you in finding the info out, even if they have to connect you to Wardrobe. Also, the black shoes they provided to employees were some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. My job was basically to walk all day, so they helped me out greatly!!
If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help you as much as I possibly can, so let me know!

I strongly recommend the Dr. Scholls shoes too!! I wore them for marching band a few years ago..and not only do they let your feet breathe but they have special support in them that make them last for a very long time! I still have mine, but they are getting pretty worn down (I have had them for going on 3 years now) and they aren't at least 90% white so I couldn't bring them to CP anyways. But those are the kind I am bringing up for sure!
