I would recommend shoes that are comfortable for your feet. You will probably be on your feet A LOT during the summer and your feet / ankles will thank you if you have comfortable shoes.
There are shoes available that are designed for the hospitality industry, for people that are on their feet eight plus hours a day. I would encourage you to look into it. It's a far cry from the days when all CP employees had to wear the inexpensive blue boat shoes that you had to buy from wardrobe.....
Except the Engine House! I had a guy stop me once and demand to know why I wasn't wearing white shoes. I just said they were white when I started the season.
