The BE wasn't crowded...until the busses arrived and our floor was taken over by a church group, a loud and non-sleeping group. Not much sleep that night.
Our early entry got us on the WT before the GP was admitted. We rode the front car and then the back car. I liked the front car, the hubby the back car. I just didn't like twisting going backwards. I must be an age thing. The rest of Saturday was very busy and we didn't ride much. We were really surprised at all the school busses that show up on weekend days. Sunday was the same crowd.
We really enjoyed our 7 days in the park. Tuesday was the best riding day 10 - 30 minute waits for rides. We rode until we were too tired to ride anymore.
The Blue Steak is just as good as everyone is saying this year. Much faster and smoother, if only the seat was still a bench seat, that would be awesome. We rode the Mean Steak and for the first time did not come away with headaches. We actually rode it more than once!
We tend to stick to MF for a large portion of riding, we probably rode 80+ times for the week. That was great. The best ride was on Friday as it started to rain. It felt like pins hitting you, that is so much fun. The best time ever on MF was the October weekend that it hailed.
We enjoyed watching the brave (?) soles that rode the water rides on Tuesday and Wednesday. They obviously left their brains in the car when they got to the park. It was darn cold until Thursday when you actually didn't need a sweatshirt, coat and gloves. NEVER GO TO CEDAR POINT WITHOUT GLOVES. You will need them more times than not.
One thing that I tried to keep track of was how many individuals actually bought the $3 soda. I would say that Saturday through Thursday I would count on one hand how many purchased sodas each day. But come Thursday someone must have been handing out dollar bills because I probably counted 30 each day. Mom and Dad must have been handing out cash freely that day.
We also took the advise to have dinner out of the park. Chet and Matt's is a great place, we hit that twice for dinner and then Dianna's twice. It was really too expensive to have dinner in the park, and the variety was just not there. We did have lunch at Johnny Rocket's and that totalled $25 for a hamburger, chicken fingers, fries, onions and one milkshake.
All in all, a great time. Happy Anniversary to my husband (28 years) and thank you for sharing my passion for Cedar Point.
P.S. Our first date was Cedar Point and our Honeymoon was Disneyland.
