left Chicago at 3:00AM CDT...got to CP at 9:45 EDT...not too shabby, 5 and 3/4 hours.Had to stop about three times to stretch. driving in the dark really makes it hard to wake up!! LOL!!!
anyhoo, we met up with Jeffrey Spartan and saw his beautiful daughter. then we rode Magnum to warm up. NO TRIMS!!! WOO HOOO what a rush!! saw Hooper on our way off of Magnum. said goodbye to JS and made our way to the Big Boy with Hooper. John started a book in line(700 pages long) and Hooper and i "talked shop" for the two hours or so. MF MF MF...there are no words to describe it. DAAANNNGGG would be about as close as i could come at the time...loved every second of it. got the secret Intamin car on our FRIST lap!!! oh the G's!!! red out city!! after MF we did Raptor(Hooper back right, me next to him, with him screaming "It's still my number one ride!! and Let's go 92!!) John swallowed a bug on Raptor...
Did Mantis in the front..heavy brakes on the drop. very little air going into the mess...
went for a nap around 4:00, met Hooper for last rides at 7:30. MF down to one train for a while, then two delays while trains were fixed/switched, etc.... got a night ride on MF!! OH MY GOD!! nothing can ever compare to that!! when we got off the ride, Hooper summed it up best with this.."lift...down...fast...hill...island...tunnel...air...bunny hop...turn..cussing...station!!" play by play report. then we took a picture of me and Hooper bowing down to the MF sign on our knees. big laugh from the crowd...
day two...rained out around 3:00 pm. went on Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Mine Ride, CPLE(for MF pics) and PE. went for nap again at 3:30, slept til 7:30...mellow kind of day...
day three...met up with Scooter and Gooober at 8:45, went straight for MF...got one lap in before noon, had lunch, went back for number two. saw three interesting things..guy in front of us, first lap, FRONT SEAT!! man was he excited!!! TV station covering the ride interviewed him...second, CORPORATE was there, watching folks unload. John notices them and starts screaming "THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!" and again while looking at on-ride pics, we both went up and said "WE LOVE this thing!! we don't CARE if it EVER runs three thrains!! we just WANT IT!! this ride is PERFECT!!" they were just BEAMING with pride and were genuinely glad for the compliments...and third, Gooober's on ride photo was priceless...they were first car, second seat and it was just priceless...split form them around 3:00 pm..rode Maggy and Gemini twice(LOTS o air on Gemini), and just puttered around til dinner at Bay Harbor. John finished the 700 pager and started another one...no bugs, but a small mishap in Maggy's ejector seat..lap bar too low...
left today at 10:30 AM EDT, drove through rain on way out of parking lot, glad we decided to go....tornados and lots of damage here in IL. great trip, overall...met some good friends, had some great laps on ALL the rides and can't wait to get back in June...

LOL thanks for the play by play again after our night ride on MF, that about sums it up. And I think Raptor is still my #1, but that night ride on MF...man that is challenging raptor very seriously. Enjoyed riding MF with both of you your first time. Your faces were priceless getting off.
