When I was at the Point Last year I felt very safe.
But at Conneaut lake Park our security was almost as old as the Park. And they were never around they liked to hang out on the Boardwalk.

Were they being rude or offensive, or was it just the typical carny banter that games people use?
Nothing really rude or offensive per se...the first game operator said a few basic things to get us over there, and after we ignored that, he then called out, "The two blonds looking up at Dragster!" (which we were since after TTD being down the entire day, now at 10:00 pm it opens!?)
So we turn around, and now the same guy says to my girlfriend, "C'mon babe, come over here!" Then another game op next to him says, "C'mon, man, buy your hottie a game, she wants it!"
Then the original guy says, "It's just us back here...there's nothing to be scared of!" Then they start laughing and she takes off running....so I dunno, nothing that bad, but before we encountered this area I had just said to her how creepy it seemed being back here when no one was around, most things were closed, and it was dark and foggy from the rainy day.
But a lot of times (more during daylight!) I'll find the game op's funny when they call out someone on their cell phone like, "Stop faking...your phone's not even on!" Or "beep...beep...are you gonna answer my calling waiting?!" But that's what happened...
^^^^^^What you said about the ghost town is really funny... frontier town is SUPPOSED to be like that! I like what you said, though, it completes the scene for cedar point to have such a great western atmosphere in the back end of the park. But I feel safe at that park, and I enjoy it.
Speeking of sfog,we did see a scary thing there once.It was back in 98 or 99 we were in line for georgia cyclone and had just got inside the little white building and it was like a riot broke out.We never did figure out what started it all. The security was just standing outside laughing and doing nothing at all to get things under control.
I have never had any problems at Cedar Point though. We have never been back to any Six Flags parks.
