Seats are too Small

'Its all in the heart of the rider!' .... is that a sick joke?

J/K, but there is no way I'll be able to ride it. You can suck in fat, or lose it, but bones will never budge. My only chance to ride is if the seats were desinged with more clearance from seat to OTSR, or they used longer belts; however I know they won't do that for safety reasons.

Put perfectly! This just shows that even loosing weight will still not alow more people or at least as many people to be able to ride them. And if people are to heavy weight to ride them at CP for preference, I think that they will just start going to other parks or known at all, rather than have to loose weight. You may think that coasters will change the way people look at themselves, but I don't. They will just save the hassle and not come at all.
i HATED to seats on wicked twister, i think i was the only person who actually had to RUN and LEAP to get up in those seats...laugh all you want but it sucked oh and i only rode the thing once on the ride night party we had around the beginning of the season, that was my first and only time b/c after that it kept breaking
Heeheeheeheehee (hey, you gave me permission)

At least you could run and leap...I had to pick my ten year-old up like a baby and pull down her OTSR (she couldn't reach). It felt like buckling her in her car seat in the 'diaper days'--except she's three feet taller and about 40 pounds heavier.

Well TIGERKIGER, I already don't think highly of you, so I could really care less on your thoughts about Cedar Point. Its now Cedar Points fault that a person doesn't fit and maybe you should look at it as Cedar Point didn't make them that way! And as for you going to a different park, Go for it b/c you obviously don't care about Cedar Point in any way!

SteelMonster I'm sorry you will never be able to ride the ride. There are plenty more rides at Cedar Point that you can ride. And a lot more rides to choose from in general, than there are in a lot of other parks!

honestly what i hate is...Being tall...It hasnt happened yet, but since i have grown since last summer (when i went to CP last) Im sure this year I wont be able to ride a couple rides because im 6'5...and I heard on Intamin hydraulic launches that if you are too tall you cant ride them...can anyone give me insight to the rumors i have heard abou tnot riding coasters if your too tall?

That's a picture of Xcelerator.

I believe #16 will have the same headrest. On Xcelerator, if your neck is above the top of the headrest, you can't ride. If you neck is above the headrest, the launch will put strain on your neck. Depending on the circumstances, it could snap your neck.

I've 6' 5" too, but I did a comparisin with MF and XC with pictures of the headrests, and how much my head sticks over MF's headrest. I concluded that the top of the headrest will be about where the top segment of my spine is. If that's true, I'll be able to ride #16 with no problem, and neither should you.

Just can't live in that negative way... Make way for the positive Day

I agree tall guys are great (I'm married to one), but as hard as the ride op and I tried, we couldn't get the OSTR on WT to come down far enough to fasten the seatbelt on my husband. And we both appreciated the fact that the ride op TRIED.

My husband is currently trying to lose some weight to see if he can reduce his shoulder/chest size and hopes to be able to fit into WT this season. The problem is his height is all in the torso, not in his legs.

OldCPer, i'm guessing that your husband is in the picture in your profile. He is pretty tall, how tall is he really? Just curious! Oh yeah, Cute picture!

I saw the Name first!

Its about time us average size guys got some Breaks. Tall guys get all the girls, but at least I can ride these coasters without a problem!

Just Kidding. Hope y'all can ride them too.

I have another take on this. I found out that if you're short, like me (5' 1") you have trouble getting into the WT seat too. I actually had to jump into the seat. I ended up cutting my hand, beacuse, as I jumped into the seat, my hand caught another part of the seat & I cut it. It wasn't too bad, but, it shouldn't have happened. I know there has to be a certain amount of clearance under the coaster too. How about if they have a small step stool that they can use so people who are short like me can get on the ride without having to take 1 giant leep & possibly get hurt. Just my thought as a short person. I have nothing against tall people either. One of my best friends is 6' 5".
I really like the ride too, it's awesome. I love the twists on each tower.

I wonder why it doesn't have a floor that lowers like the Raptor.
Teenie, my husband is 6'4.5" and yes, that is him in the middle, and my son next to him. That was actually the first family picture taken at a park that actually turned out good enough for me to buy it. It was taken at SFGAm.

WT doesn't have that sinking silver floor like on Raptor because the Intamin stations come pre-fab. I recall this from somewhere else but someone might know a little more.

Pre-fab? There's nothing "pre-fab" about a 50-foot long concrete slab.

There's no moving floor because it's not needed, and furthermore just one more thing to break.
