Seats are too Small

I was to be an innagural rider on WT at Cedat Point on May 5,but when I got on the seatbelt would not click so I wound up watching the train leave without me. I think that Intamin is bias against big and tall people because they design thier seats to fit a certain size person
Yes, it's their sole purpose in designing their restraints so that you couldn't fit...

There's no bias, they try to make them sized so that the optimum range of people can ride without comprising the safety of others.

I heard that intamin trains are desinged to hold about 85% of the worlds population. Having said that, I'm not part of that 85% either CPEMP91. That had to of sucked that you paid to ride, but didn't fit.

As a hardcore coaster enthusiast, I would take being stapled in to the point were you only can take a fraction of a breath cause there not room for my chest to go, than not ride. One time when I was riding mantis this year, I get stapled in the hardest I have ever been, and then the train stopped on the lift for 15 or 20 minutes. I was so tempted to unbuckle the belt because the restraint lifts about an inch or so, but didn't. Knowing my luck, when the ride did start, the seatbelt clip would knock me right in the nuts during the ride.

I am not fat.I have a large bone structure and a stocky build, this does not make me fat. and for the rest of you idiots that are making fun of me I want you to answer this. How come Veckoma and Arrow can make restraints that fit us big people easily and Intamin can't???I went to Great America and rode Deja Vu without a Problem and I remained safe while in the seat. I could easily fit on Raging Bull without a problem.I watched as a lady had to get off R.B. because of her size and I felt sorry for her beause I know what iy's like
Uh, last time I checked, Arrow's loopers like Corkscrew are nearly impossible for tall people to get into. Also, there is supposed to be a 6'4" limit on riders of Deja Vu because of clearance concerns.

I wasn't making fun of you, but I thought it was conceded that you worded it being a bias.

Why would Intamin makes rides that give the parks hassels on purpose? Do you know how many ppl throw a fit about not fitting? Intamin, especailly on WT want to accomidate small people, as well as larger, safely on a ride that violently twists like WT does and can.CPEMP91, I rememeber you, you aren't a overly large person at all, I'll almost guarantee it hit your chest and shoulders, that's where it hits on 95% of the ppl who do not fit.

What about those of us who want to experience Liniear Induction Technology??Who is going to build a ride for the rest of us???
I'll look in my crystal ball of idiocy.....AH! yes! I see the question you just asked!

Well, what about those that are vertically challenged? Dwarfs are being discriminated against because they are under 48 inches.
Well, you could go ride S:TE. That might be as close enough to LIMs that you are going to get.

Turkeys, the only animal smarter than man

Most larger people have no problem riding the Cali Scream at DCA. Its an Intamin LIM launch with OTSR's tho...

S:TE is fine but if you are tall then you should sit in the second row on the outside...more room

Future CP Ride op?

S:TE actully uses LIMs. One of the problems with LSM is they can't start out, but they can accelerate after they get an intial boost from LIMs.

WT does have very small seats and harnesses. It is very hard to make sure that everyone can be safe and ride the ride w/o getting hurt or hurting someone else.

I heard Intimin has a new plan to make smaller seats as an insentive to this highly over weight country of ours to get into some kind of respectable fitness

Don't you mean the beer bellies and overstuffed butts of America?

Nevertheless, Vekoma Boomerangs have yet to make us a nation of square heads. I think I'll put my money on the Bud and pizza. Buuurrrrrrrp.

If realmadrid311 is right then I think CP is going to start to loose riders because many of the riders are heavy weight. The more rides they make with smaller seats the smaller amount of riders will actually be able to ride. Which in the long run means less people will come to CP because of this.

Don't you think?

I don't think so... I have heard of so many people who have said, "I'm gonna loose some weight so I can fit on that ride." If someone wants to ride a ride and they put their mind to it then they will ride the ride, eventually! Its all in the heart of the rider!
