Seat Assigning....

Funny Jeff, you are the one thats says "it is only confirmed if it comes from the people in Marketing/PR". I didn't just "Call The Park". In a interview with Bryan Edwards, a PR rep at the park, he said the following:

"Presently, we will use the same policy that is in use on Millennium Force now on Wicked Twister. Guests will be able to wait for the front seat, while all other seats will be assigned."

So there you have it "the scoop" from Marketing themselves.

looks like you, jeff, got shot down. WAIT! ANDREW! I HAVE A FEELING THAT THAT INTERVIEW DID NOT TAKE PLACE! QUICK! CALL JEFF SINCE HE KNOWS ALL!!!

sarcasm helps sometimes...

Yes, jeff, that is from an actual interview with Mr. Edwards. Many other questions were also answered, such as:

on ride photo: none

assigned seats: yes

paint job: not decided

Well I was at his wedding so there.

Am I really having this conversation?

I am so tired of these spamming little kiddies who consider it news when a new garbage can is added to the midway, then have to post "exclusive" info about it in every damn thread on this board.

Nobody likes a knowitall, and if someone wanted to read endless plugs for some other site they'd go to Usenet.

"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"

I can confirm from contacts deep inside Cedar Point's department of useless crap that there are too many sites that have popped up out of nowhere since GTTP opened with the intent of doing nothing other than trying to fill a void that was nicely filled long ago.

I'll give these other sites credit as soon as they give me a worthy reason to visit them instead of GTTP.

Especially when they can't even come up with a unique name for it...  it's like they sat around the table and said "Well, let's change GTTP and make it.... uhhh..... PttP.. yeah! That's great!"

Please...

I have noticed that all of the "PttP" plugs have disappeared from this site.. one actually vanished as I was replying to their pathetic advertising.

I wasn't spamming because I have nothing to do with PTTP, I have just read the interview and posted it since someone asked about seat assinging.

There's no need to complain about other sites.  Yea, maybe they aren't as good as GTTP, but honestly, I went over to PTTP and read the Bryan Edwards interview and I found it to be interesting.  The greatest part about GTTP is the forums and with all these people that know things about CP, usually you can find some useful information here.  That doesn't mean that ALL other CP websites suck.  I think both sides need to cool off on this one.  Yes, there is a lot of crap on the web, but why bother discussing it?

2001 Magnum Crew

Does it REALLY MATTER on December 14 what type of "seating assignment" the ride will use? Aren't there just a tad bit more important things in the world then this? Why does it turn into a GAINT PISSING contest over who knew something first...or "confirmed" or whatever...I am sure CP "loves" (sacarsm) getting the meaningless questions each day such as seating policy...
I am reminded of an incident I was part of back in 89...It was opening day 1989, the Magnum had been opened to the public for less than an hour...remember how CP took roller coasters to new heights with the Magnum by blowing away the previous highest coaster by 45-50 ft...Well, into the Marketing Office strolls two Coaster "fans" and instead of even saying Magnum is great or sucks or something related to the day they asked..."What are you building NEXT YEAR?"
Let's not be like that, we DON'T have to know every little bit of detail...Heck I am surprised we haven't seen a thread here detailing the type of garbage bag used at the park, (Is it two-ply, twist tie or handle tie...WHO CARES).
Let's ENJOY what we have here. Just because you have a website or book or just a love of CP, doesn't mean you have to know it all. Don't take the enjoyment out of what this is intended to be, a SIMPLE, FUN, discussion about something we all love.
Let's try to keep it in perspective.

How can it be, another CP site has content that isn’t on GTTP (even if it is a bit trivial).  I thought GTTP has exclusive rights to all CP information.

Oh, that’s right, we live in the USA where we have something called free enterprise.  So GTTP has some competition – so what?  GTTP is an excellent web site, but if someone thinks they can do better (no matter how old they may be), I say go for it.

(as a side note, these new sites shouldn’t spam existing sites and I’m glad the moderators are removing that junk).
