Seat Assigning....

Will CP let people choose their seats or assign them??

Hopefully you will be able to chose, but it will go a lot faster if it is assigned. Maybe you can chose if you want the front or back, but everything else is assigned.
One good thing with teh 450 degree twist every seat will be great and everyone will be able to look straight down at the ground
Bite your tongue you wreached child!

God, they probably will. I mean if it worked for Millennium Force, it will for that coaster. Also they should do it for some other coasters like Gemini

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.

I don't know, the situation is much different for this coaster than it is for MF.  Anyone who has ridden an impulse before can confirm this.  It is a looong wait in the station, but I can't really tell how it would affect seat assigning.  For some reason though I have a feeling that they will not assign seats.  One of the cool things about Wicked Twister is that each part of the train gives a slightly different ride - the front would be cool because you go the farthest up the forward-facing spike, and drop the farthest backwards, but the back would be really cool also since, at least IMO, falling forward and twisting at the same time will be one of the sweetest sensations of the ride and this would have the most effect in the back.

I'd like to see them implement a single rider line where anyone in that line would just fill in any empty seat.  I've seen this done at BGW on Apollo's Chariot and it seemed like a good idea.  If not this, then I'd expect to see a policy similar to MF.  With this low of a capacity, they really can't afford empty seats...

My only hope is that this time they've taken the time to really think out the station. Millennium Force wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as say, the stations of the Superman Rides of Steel. You need a queue to handle the front and back rows, and said queues can't block access to the rest of the ride.

I'm with Jeff.  If you look at the more recent coasters built at CP the stations are rather small compared to coaster built awhile back.  Go to PKI and look at how big the Beast's and Vortex's stations are.  You could probably fit one Raptor station in the Beast's.  I think CP needs to start making there stations a little bigger.
Superman:Ultimate Escape has a pretty decent station, although the approach to the station from the queue could be better.
3/4 of the beast station is queue though, I hate it, I am so claustraphobic and that is the most crapmped queue I have ever been in.

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

They certainly will have assinged seating. With so many rows. and 2(?) seats in every row. Plus it worked good with MF. I don't have a problem with it.

Don't let life fly by.

I hope not, but if that do thats fine.
Magnum's station with more clearly-defined row queues would work well.  I dislike stations that have lots of maze IN the station, but at the same time Magnum's huge open concrete pad leaves way too much chaos.  A station the SIZE of Magnum's, with better markings for individual rows, would probably work pretty well (although it would confuse the patrons who try to coordinate being on the same cycle ;) )

The best set-up for actual queue design I have seen has to be Viper at SFMM. Why?

First, there's none of that "maze" taking up the platform. Just three lines for Front 2 cars, Middle 3 cars, and Back 2 cars. These lines start at the entrance to the building. Sure when it gets crowded the line goes down the hill, but because it separates into three lines, it goes quick. Then once in the station there is plenty of room especially between the gates and trains, something that's a ride ops dream!

The worst would have to be between Riddler's Revenge and Canyon Blaster at the Adventuredome. Riddler because the queue's are set up at an angle to the train. It is good for the front as it makes for a really long queue, but for the back it sux as if more than two trains full (8 people) wait there it backs up the rest of the queue. Canyon Blaster because we had just the individual lines for each row and not a real line. This means when it gets busy the lines block the walkway. Also the control panel is on the side with the line. Nothing is scarier than telling a few hundred people that the ride is broke when you are only elevated 3 feet over them.

Cedar Point's are pretty well executed as long as they have a person to regulate the flow into the station. If you let people have free range it can back things up.

If they use a station like SUE's, they'll be fine.  They just need to leave more room between the end of the seat queues and the back wall.  As long as they have queue to hold three trains or so for each seat in the station and someone to control flow into the station, they don't need assigned seats.

This stuff really surprises me! All though, I guess we're better of with it like this. I mean on that one day of Millennium Mania, which I'm unhappy that we won't be seeing again, they had no assigned seating for a while. With the station of Millennium full, I found it very, very crouded, and I didn't like it.

Bloody Hell. Even SFWoA doesn't do that.
I think a single rider line would be better.

I can confirm that they will assign seats, except for the front and back. Basically it will be similar to Millennium Force.

It kills me how all these people can "confirm" what anyone can learn by simply calling the park. What a scoop!
