My only questions are... does is cover birth control.... we all know how much cedar point women need it lol. (joking but the question is serious... does it cover birth control). Also how much would it be?

I think it's a wonderful idea and it makes up for the no bonus thing.

They always had a sort of cheap health care. Problem always was when you needed a prescription or future care, you were on your own. And the rates for the pills was crazy. I'm thinking that the cheaper cost of Meds, plus possibly the specialist you may need after the typical physical type doctor they have on point.but I'm sure it comes with a weekly deduction, etc. But once again, I'm only guessing.

Since Tony and Tyler seem to be posting on this site now, maybe someone can send them a message and ask what the deal really is. That or someone who has received their contract packet. I'm sure the answers are in with that stuff. It normally comes with a complete rule book. Just an Idea.

lol I can afford what I need. I just don't think other people realize how much "fun" they're going to have.

lol I'm wondering if its just talking about the clinic,,,though the wording makes it seem like something more. I guess we'll find out. I just talked with a current full time employee and she hasn't heard anything yet

Cedar Point has always had seasonal health care, just go to the clinic at Cedars or the main first aid :)

If you decide to call off sick they require you to head to one of those places and get checked out to make the day not count against you. Or at least that is what they did in 2005 when I worked there.

After I injured my foot while working, anytime after that I complained about foot pain they would always send me to first aid, and first aid would say there is nothing they could do, and I still got the points.

Hmmm I think that anything perceived as a Benefit to employees will be helpful considering the way it appears they are just "tolerating" employees because they need them. Also you girls are naughty :-P you make CP girls seem like big whores....Tsk tsk....they should learn to keep their pants on ;-)

This is an actual "health insurance" type of program, where you pay a premium from your paycheck and get actual health coverage, not just the crappy on point clinic. I imagine it should cover things like prescriptions and hospital visits (with a co-pay I'm sure).

I'm not sure if the Meijer's up there does this, but is Louisville, most antibiotic's are either free, or only five dollars. Something to keep in mind if you get sick. I go to Meijer's now for all my prescriptions.

Other places do it for low prices too, I've gotten antibiotics for four dollars at the Drug Mart (not exactly the one in Sandusky but Vermilion)

Where would we get information on this health care at?

I don't think they've "officially" released anything about it, although from what I hear it's the same thing already offered to Castaway Bay employees, so I guess I should ask someone I know who works there about it.

That would work. :-) Well if it's good enough insurance i might get it. Cause i'm not sure if i want to keep UT's. lol Well at least you can still get on Pointbuzz. I'm surprised the proxy doesn't block it, since it is a pretty popular site.

Castaway has been getting part time health care coverage for awhile now...I don't know if it different now then when it was...but it was basic coverage...but not that much...though for a Castaway employee in the winter it seems like it. I worked at Castaway last winter and was offered to sign up for it but knew I was going back to CP so really there was no point...though um lol it actually would have helped me for one thing last winter but oh wells lol. Remember Castaway employees are permanent employees as are anybody who's working right now--so they have part time benefits which is possibly different then the seasonal health plan...though seasonals are starting to head back soon...so ask us then :) 13 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! (of course lol we probably still won't know till the actual season starts but who can tell?)..I'll let you know if I find out anything when I head back
