Season Pass Re-entry

"This pass may be used for only one entry per day via the entrance turnstiles. However, the holder may re-enter the park by obtaining a handstamp prior to leaving the park."

I read that on the back of my season pass and I was confused. Why can't you re-enter the park using your season pass again? I usually bypass the handstamps when I exit the park, regarding whether or not I will be re-entering. Luckilly, I haven't been in the situation where I've wanted to re-enter this year. Is this a bunch of baloney, or is it true?

Egg nog... how'd they think that up?
"I want to get a little drunk... but I also want some pankcakes."

It is very true, they will not let you use your pass more then once in a day. In order to re-enter the park you must have your hand stamped. Once your pass is scanned it flags your pass red if you try to use it again. This is so people can't give there pass to someone else in there party that look like them to get into the park for free.

So when I go to Soak City for a few hours and my handstamp washes off-what then? It's hard to believe they have that big of a problem with similar looking people using one pass. If the person at the ticket booth even half way looks at the picture and the person too,it should be pretty easy to spot I would think. The world just gets easier and easier....
I don't think your handstamp will wash off at Soak City. I've been handstamped and left the park many times to go to Soak City, and it hasn't yet washed off.

There was a guy in line for Dragster who said he and his brother were identical twins, and they only bought 1 pass each yeah and would just have one get in, then get a handstamp and leave the park where he'd give the pass to the other brother, and they'd both be in for free for the day. I guess stuff like that is why they have that rule.

I bet you could talk your way into the park, though. I know I almost had that situation... I went in the front entrance and then when I left, I forgot to get a handstamp. Then I drove around back and wanted to ride Magnum. I finally decided I didn't want to walk that far (im lazy) so I'm still unsure of what will happen.

The hand stamp will not get washed off by going to soak city just don't put any sun block on it then it will get washed off or at least that is wat I was told at the gate.
So if you can only use it once per day why even waste the time and money to put a picture on it? Is it our fault that their employees were to lazy to look at a photo & the person's face before scanning.

I thought the reason you buy a pass in the first place is to have unlimited entries. Yes?

Like I've said before, CP is a great park, but some of the things they do defy logic.

I would just like to say get your hand stamped and quit crying. SF does the same thing it's standered procedure.
Going to Soak City after your hand is stamped for re-entry will wash off. This happened to me and my daughter just two weeks ago. Anyway, it was embarrassing for me when we tried to get back into CP and seeing the attendant have a puzzled look--may have thought that we were trying to bamboozle our way in.

If it's SF "standered" procedure then I know it's a stupid rule.

Those idiots who do the stamping need to understand that using enough ink so that it runs down your arm is not necessary. It's ridiculous, and it bothers me because in many ways this violates your personal space. I don't need some goon with a stamp soaking me with yellow stuff.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Yellow and clear blue Jeff. And they try to stamp you extra nasty because a lot of guests complain they can't see the stamp. So if they feel that extra bit of stickiness when there is a line of 100 people getting readmit stamps. They don't hold up the line saying CP is trying to scam them.

We were also requested to make these stamps legible. But if we make them sloppy so the guest knows they are there, they are rendered unlegible. CP wants them legible so we know someone hasn't just pressed the fresh stamp to someone elses wrist. Seen a bit of that this year. Same problem on FreeWay, but obviously on FreeWay if they're not legible they aren't gonna work reguardless.

Why not just stamp them under a one of those black lights that they use to check on entry? That way the guest can see for sure that they're stamped. I doubt those light are all that expensive either.

I got a MF freeway pass in the morning for 10-11pm yesterday. By 10-11, it was near completely gone; one hand wash in the middle of the day did it. Has anyone else had problems with their freeway passes vanishing? I was so nervous they weren't going to let me in (you couldn't see it at all except one blue dot), but because I was with a friend, they let me into the 10-11 MF freeway lane without question. Very strange.
I know that they don't look at season passes very well my 17 year old daughter grabbed my season pass an went to the park first for ERT with her sister, (we both have dark hair an look alot threw the face) Needless to say I didn't go into the park till she came to the gate, an showed them that she had used my pass an I had hers. So it would be very easy for people who are dishonest to do this.
One of the greatest misconceptions is that when you get stamped at Cedar Point, your stamp is going to completely disappear in Soak City or at the beach. Saying that the ink that is used is both water- and chlorine-proof, there isn't much of a chance that it would disappear as long as you got a "good" stamp with enough ink on it to cover for anything that might happen, and let it dry before you hop in the tub. Even with soap and water, it takes quite a lot of scrubbing to remove a stamp.

If you are a season passholder, we can look you up at the Front Gate (Park Admissions window) if you fear your stamp has been washed away. But you'll find that it takes quite a lot to make them disappear. Walk over to Readmission and give it a try first.

It was funny, the other day, my hubby and I switched passes intentionally to see if it would work because the gatekeepers really don't pay attention...we went in around 2 ish so it wasn't busy. They didn't even look at the picture! So I got in the park as Mike and he got in as Amanda.

I think I only remember someone looking at my picture 3 or 4 times in the last two years.

Up until a few years ago, you did get unlimited entries into the park each day. This policy was changed half way through the season one year. If the gate workers would actually check the picture, the new policy probably woudn't be necessary. If there was an issue with a guest looking different from the picture, the gate worker could always ask for a second picture ID to verify the name.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

i used to work at a small water park, and with the season passes they would let u use them once a day to get an exact count of people entering the park that day. just a thought....a lil late tho

Ummm, I'm in agreement too. It even says on their website that the purpose of a *season pass* is to have unlimited visits. That justs defeats the purpose of getting stamped.....

So, what happens if I, for some odd reason, forget to get stamped. They won't let me in???...I don't think so.
