So I bought my Cedar Fair Platinum pass, from Cedar Point, a couple of weeks ago, but now it seems that the first place I will go is King's Island.
I know that, before the season pass center opened, I could get it processed at King's Island no problem (well maybe minor ones :)) but since Cedar Point will be open during this time, can I still process it at King's Island. I don't have a problem having a King's Island pass instead of a Cedar Point, since it is a Platinum and good at all parks.

You have to have it processed, where u purchased it from,so if you bought it from Cedar Point, thats where u have to go and get your season pass.
^Not exactly!
You can process your CF platinum pass anywhere in the chain! It is suggested that you process at the purchased park. I think there was an OnPoint about this a little while ago, I'll try to find it...

I don't exactly know if you can process CP platinum for a KI platinum but I would imagine you could no problem (or with a little trouble). But to make sure just call KI @ (800) 288-0808 or (513) 754-5700 or CP @ 419.627.2350 (General Info)

Yeah I know they changed the rules for before the season started, just wanting to make sure they are still changed after Cedar Point opens.
Yeah I will call on Monday but hoped I may get some type of answer before then, Tony? :)

You can process your CP pass at KI, we did. That was while KI was still closed though.
I would expect a long line of people processing there passes on opening day. I have seen this line year after year and I recommend if you can get your pass processed before opening day than do so. It will avoid the headache later. My roomate (Mantis Mike) went yesterday and he said there were only about 20 people there.
Peace, Mikey

The only time I will be able to get to a Cedar Fair park is on May 26th, and that is King's Island. So not much choice on when to get it redeemed :) I am just hoping that I will still be allowed to get it processed at King's Island even though it was bought from Cedar Point.

Just wanted to confirm that getting your Cedar Point Platinum pass processed at King's Island is no problem at all. I didn't even have the thought that it'd be an issue; thankfully that was the case after the 3 hour drive there last Sunday without looking into it.
You'll just have a King's Island-branded Platinum Pass to use at all the parks all year, which I'd rather see my favorite Cedar Point in my wallet all year, but no big deal.
I must say though...King's Island's season pass processing was 10X more efficient than Cedar Point was the 15 years I had a season pass there! Wow...Cedar Point had 2 camera-processing stands which created SLOW processing lines. King's Island had 15-20 stands in a large room, and we got in and out of there in a couple minutes! It was like the difference in waiting for Wild Cat vs Gemini (both sides open of course).
There was hoopla about this last year. Cedar Points info said you could and Kings Island's said you couldn't. I think this was a residual issue from Paramount parks but it is good to hear they are all on the same page now.
I'm going out to get some air.
How long do you think the line will be to get a pass processed on opening day?
I'll be Coasting for Kids on June 9th

I got my pass processed at Kings Island a few weeks ago and had a minor problem. they had to reprint a new ticket because there computer did not recognize the Cedar Point Bar Code. They said we can take the Kings Island pass to cedar point and exchange for a Cedar Point pass.

Is there a benefit to making this change (from KI to CP)? I got my platinum pass at KI last year and spent the summer at CP and Wonderland without changing it. I wouldn't bother unless you want a new park pic.
I'm going out to get some air.
And who cares what the picture looks like anyhow? Only the person scanning it when you enter the park or at the toll booth will ever see it.
