The incident at Cedar Point in May of 05 on Millennium Force was similar to the Fabio incident. I was at CP with my sister. I think it was mid-afternoon on Wednesday or Thursday of opening week. We got to Millennium's entrance, and the ride was shut down. People were saying a girl had been struck in the face by a bird during the ride course and there was blood everywhere in the train that had to be cleaned up.

The seagulls have been creating a plot ever since the ride was announced. There will always be AT LEAST 5 seagulls on duty during the day waiting to poop on the supports. At night, there will be about 20 seagulls on duty making sure to attack anyone who attempts to clean off their mess.
Just be glad it is just the seagulls against us. When the squirrels conspire, ride capacity REALLY suffers....
Murtagh
Captain Sullenberger says there is no need to worry about birds on CP's new winged coaster. He can bring anything with wings on it home safely. It's not the Hudson River but the Captain thinks Lake Erie will do just fine.
I had one very close call with a seagull today in the front right seat of GK, and a second one not as close. They like to sit on the track, but seemed like they were always sitting on the track of the helix. Depending which way they fly off, they can come real close. Not sure I'd want a seagull talon in my eye!
I saw a gull egg at the top landing (a scattered few sticks and an egg made me think it was a first time mother, or a nest fell apart), and a seagull built a nest on one of the helix supports, you could see her fly away every time a car came by.
They've put some wires above the storage tracks, but I think the seagulls have already declared the ride their own :)
2013: Maverick

Maybe if the ride would've just been called Angry Seagull, they'd all be scared away.

I will make sure to drop some french fries onto the top part of the lift hill on the left side at 43 seconds as mentioned above. That spot is SERIOULSY going to get disgusting lol. Spikes are most needed fo sure.
The Air Force Thunderbirds take off from Hopkins when they perform at the Cleveland Air Show rather than Burke Lakefront (like the Blue Angels) because of Seagulls.
@ The coasters hit birds all the time. It's nothing new. In 2006 MF hit a endangered hawk. I've personally had to remove to birds from MF when I worked there in 2006.
Its really interesting and i have listened about this...I am curios to have a experience of this that how do a bird hits coaster or coaster hits bird :)
Kinda unrelated, but whatever. On Media Day (I think), Raptor was running. There was a seagull on the top of the vertical loop. He would fly away and circle around whenever a train came, only to get back onto the loop. Repeat, etc.
Also, once at Coastermania (I think), there was a seagull on the right handrail of Blue Streak. It flew left as the train went around, and seemed to fly between the rows of riders in front of us! I'm sure it wan't as close as it appeared though.
There was a boy who got hit by a bird on kingda ka!

I. HATE. STINKBUGS.
All seagulls can die..except Sass..
Many a times, a freshly polished and waxed car drove from 250/dorms to the point, only to be shat on..or many a clean outfit/body..again..shat on..
I can't help but say I enjoyed when rides hit a few fowl like a freight train..My face clearly gave my mood away

A couple years after Mantis first opened, my buddy and I were riding and a small bird flew right into our car mid-ride. Must have died instantly, but managed to roll around near our feet for the duration of the ride. Disgusting...
