Screamsters 20011!

Hey Screamsters!

My name is Matt, and I need a question answered, seeing as I'm going to be a new member of the Screamster family this year.
I had gotten a call from Allison yesterday, and she told me about the date I need to come in for training and everything, and also the basic things I need to know before coming in for training.
I just need to know; Where do Screamsters park, and do they have to pay for parking?

It would also be great to get to know some fellow Screamsters before I come in and give the guests of Cedar Point a good scare.

Thank you.

All that info should be emailed to you from Peggy.

Yeah, Allison said there should be emails coming in a couple of days.
I guess I'm just impatient, and too excited about this, lol.

Btw, forgive my post title.

screamsters don't have to pay to park, you might have to when you go process in, but you can get a refund when you leave. Most times if you say you're going to HR to process in they don't care and let you right through. Screamsters generally park near space spiral, you get a screamster parking pass that you have to display. Be warned though. friday it is usually not a problem parking up there because the park is closed, Saturday and Sunday though the park will already be open and you'll have a hell of a time actually finding a spot. so generally you have to just find a spot in the parking lot and walk. some people park in the lot near millennium, though you aren't always "officially" allowed to park there, some of the busier weekends they give you the official go ahead to park there too.

Welcome Matt! As was already said, you should get everything you need to know in the emails from Peggy. Where are you working this year?

I just got my email from Peggy yesterday. Now, you get two separate emails, correct? One from Peggy, and one from HR?

And Ralph, I'm not sure where I'm working this year. Haven't gotten that set up yet, and I'm not sure when you're supposed to get that set up.

JUST got another email for the job offer.
Looks like I'll be working Cornstalkers this year Ralph =)

come the end of the season you wont be allowed to park in the lot at all, you will have to take the employee bus from commons to the park... Its not as bad at it seems. When you have a bus filled half with Screamsters and Worn out Season Employees we tend to have fun on their behalf lol

well they'll only do that if they assume they are going to get hit with big crowds, lets be honest, it'll happen one weekend or maybe two, and there are still ways around parking out in commons. actually I'm not sure i've ever had to ride the bus in, now that I think about it.

Hey, so, on my email, it tells me to go in for HR processing no more than 8 days prior to my training day (which is 9/4/11). But, on my job acception on cedarpoint.com, it says to report for processing on 9/4/11.
Would it be okay if I go in on the 26th, which is this Friday? Or should I go on the 4th?

You can process in up to 8 days ahead of that date on your job offer. The 26th is 9 days ahead of the 4th. You may still be able to process in that day, but you'd need to ask Peggy first. If she says yes, be sure to bring a copy of that email along with the rest of your paperwork when you go to HR.

Well, I guess it all depends on when I get my information back in the mail.
Do you know how long that takes after sending in a background check?

I don't think I've ever waited more than a week to get it in the mail, but I suppose that could vary. You actually don't need the packet you'll get in the mail in order to process in, HR will have a copy of your employment agreement on file.
