Schwabinchen to be removed?

I agree GregLeg1, we won't make it back this year. I'm kinda kicking myself now too. We were there on Saturday and stood right in front of her and asked "Anybody want to ride Schwabinchen?" There were a few of us that did want to ride, but skipped it and ended up going on PT instead. DOH!

How about a charity auction for that buxom "centerpiece"? Not sure what I'd do with it (a little big for a backyard decoration - LOL!), but it's certainly a Cedar Point "classic"...

If it's not for sale, how about putting it in the Town Hall Museum?

Hey, I heard a rumor that Millenium Force is sinking...

They probably by my best educated guess want Chaos there instead because it's a newer ride and so is Wicked Twister. They are trying to get foot traffic up as much as possible in that area of the park. Does anyone know the official poop on Troika as to where they plan on relocating it? I did see from some its "arm" pieces it will have a new color scheme of purple, green and orange next year.

Another classic from the CP midway vanished forever. I guess I could understand why, but why? I mean it's a staple of CP history and for those of us who go way back in the day that was one our first rides we ever rode. I definately will get one ride in before she closes forever. Any word if it might move to MIA?

I think it is probably going to be moved to MIA. The park looks dead from teh maps I've seen so Maybe CF is tryign to add som variety to it.

An article in today's Sandusky Register said the decision for the ride's elimination was because it was one of the park's "older and least popular rides." They also quoted PR rep Robin Innes as saying, "I can't divulge all the details, but that location will have a new use."

Why would they send Schwabinchen to Michigan when Michigan already has a Trabant?

If they were pulling Calypso, I could see that going to Michigan. But Schwabinchen...perhaps they might sent it to Valleyfair!, but it doesn't make sense as an addition to Michigan unless they yank out the Trabant.

Chris...CP already announced they are keeping Chaos and Troika. It's in the news link on the previous page of this thread.

Wow, so unless they add another flat ride or two, this will be the second year in a row we've goten a new coaster without increasing the ride count. I really don't see why this space is a necessity to put Troika or Chaos in, there is plenty of room for those elsewhere. I'll miss the "boobie lady" though, she's one of the few I actually remember riding when I was four.
