scared?

I am a crazy coaster enthusiast, and I love looking at TTD, lol...looking at it makes me want to ride it the more, but when I went to CP it was closed =(

LaUnCh...420 feet, 120 mph, 4 seconds....brakes...breathe, the most anticipating part would be right before you launch, nervous...nervous.....

This is the one coaster that brought that wonderful feeling back to me: the fear like when I was riding my first roller coaster. I was going to walk through, but after a 3 hour wait, I didn't want to dissapoint my dad/riding partner, so i got on. It was train #2, so I got to watch the train in front of me launch. That has to be the scariest part of the ride. Seeing a train launch so fast then go up a tower you have to just about look straight up to see, and then is when it finally sank into me, I would be doing that in a minute or two. Pulling up to the christmas tree light, I was waiting for the brake fins to drop. I noticed some 'false alarms' which was really just PT. I braced myself, and heard a hiss a little louder than Power Tower. I felt the train lurch back a few inches, and we were off! That launch feels like someone kicking you in the chest! Up, up, up! 'Oh my God!, we're looking DOWN at MF!' Going down, the twist looks like you're going to hit the supports, but of course, you're not. This is the smoothest roller coaster I have ever been on. Then it's over! The best 17 seconds of my life so far. After you've been on it, you realise it's more fun than scary. It just looks alot worse than it is.

Dear Valued Guest, I regret to inform you that Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, is not currently in operation because of mechanical problems.

i already know i will go on it, and it's wierd, i'm afraid of it, but i really don't know why. i'm not afraid of dying on it or anything, but maybe it's just that the limits are pushed even further and that kind of scares me. i remember how tall and fast mf was the first time i rode on it, and this is taller by gemini and faster by 30mph!?!?!? anyone else feel this way about not worried about the injury but just how big it is?

Honestly, I was scared because I get such a rush and much excitement because of the fact that I don't know when it is going to start up and sending me. It's kind of like getting on Power Tower, your stomach is in knots (at least mine are) because I don't know when it is goign to start. But after it does, I'm fine. That's how it is on Top Thrill Dragster, after it starts, you are licensed for fun.

The height and speed are massive, but it doesn't make a big difference, I couldn't feel the hill really, it was just amazing sensations of the view, acceleration, deceleration(sp?), twist. Just click yourself in and let the ride start.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

The amusement industry is reaching the limit of what the human body can handle, I'd say that they had better stop soon...instead of fighting for records, I say get creative...a new coaster is a new coaster, even if it doesn't break 12 world records...I want to see a flying roller coaster at CP or another woodie...not a 500 foot tall 200 mph roller coaster. I seriously thought they would stop at MF..but I do have this to say...

Cedar Point always has to blow the competition out of the water, the records set by MF was broken by what, 5 feet? So now, Cedar Point decided to break that by 105 feet, when will it end????

Playa21, the company i work for had their picnic on june 28th. i spoke with one of the maintenance men, he said that next year they are putting in a woodie! not a record breaker...but a classic style out & back. that was all that was said between us.take it for what its worth. i take everything with a grain of salt!
And you expect us to believe that?

If what he said was just between you and him, why are you repeating it?

to bad they already have a classic out and back woodie, it's called blue streak. blue streak isn't a record breaker, and if they want to make a bigger version than that kind of is like a record breaker, because they wont stop once they get it bigger.

I seriously doubt that there is any truth in this at all. On a side note though, I would love to see CP put in an Intamin woodie, such as Balder or Colossos They both deliver super smooth rides with a ton of air time and speed. :)

I didn't say that was between just him and I. I meant all he said was "C.P. is planning to build another coaster, Not a record breaker. Another one styled like a classic out& back" I did not mean it was a private conversation.

I still highly doubt that.
