Well, I was there as well, my first HalloWeekends. I'll keep it short. The plan was my girlfriend and I were going to go to Put-In-Bay Friday night, stay at a local hotel, then hit CP Saturday. Well, Put-In-Bay didn't happen, the ferry's weren't running due to "inclement weather conditions" so we ate at Margaritaville and went bowling. Woo-hoo. We got up in the morning, and I realize I left my tennis shoes at my girlfriends, the only footwear I brought was a pair of sandals. This will be a fun day. Off to the park Saturday at 11:30, we got to the Magnum lot and parked front row (a sign of a good day), and we head in to the park. We were going to ride Mean Streak first, but it hadn't opened yet, and we saw MF running when we pulled in, so we headed over there. Waited about 35 minutes or so. To keep short, we bounced around the park, no real order to our riding. ID, then to Magnum, but it was down. We headed out to the car to shed some layers (warmer day than I expected), then to Gemini. Then back to Magnum, up to Power Tower, back to MS. This was my first ride on MS this year, about an hour wait. I couldn't believe that! I was pleasantly surprised, MS seemed fast, and I didn't need a chiropractor afterwards. Then up to Raptor, saw the magician, then our first rides ever on Demon Drop. That's a good ride, don't know why I've never ridden it before. We then went to dinner. Now the HalloWeekend stuff! Went to the tunnel of terror, pretty cool. Then we went back to the Tale of Terror. My girlfriend and I REALLY enjoyed that! The actor was amazing, and we both love Poe's Tell-Tale Heart! The guy was so good, we could just see it giving little kids nightmares. Then off to class at Undertaker U, then up to the third house, Pharoah's whatever (can't remember the name). All the while I of course had to take my girlfriend through Frontier Trail, she kept getting the crap scared out of her! :) After Pharoah's, it was about 11:30, so we headed to MF for a night ride, probably my last ride of the season unless I can squeeze in another trip. I just love that ride at night, ranks right up there with the Beast in my book. Anyways, HalloWeekends was great, I can't believe I've never gone before, but I will definitely go in the future. Jamin, I looked for you when I was at MF, first ride someone said they thought you were on break, I think I saw you 2nd ride, but I didn't want to yell across everyone (girlfriend wouldn't let me, she said it would be "embarassing," whatever). I think you were on the left side checking seats, but I was up about 3 seats too far to talk to ya. Sorry. Anyways, to any haunts, great job! And if anyone knows the guy who did the Tell-Tale Heart, please tell him that we thought he was GREAT!!
