We went to the Point on Saturday May 24, 2008 (Memorial Day Weekend Saturday). I thought this would be a relatively crowded day, but much to my surprise, the lines were not bad at all. Here is our ride count...
Overall, it was a good day with fantistic weather, a great ride count, and a small crowd. There were some good/bad points we came across on our trip...
GOOD:
-Quick moving lines
-Planet Snoopy looks nice and fits the area
-New signs are put up on the "Extreme Sports Stadium" which makes it look more bright and vibrant than it used to.
-The new Toft's ice cream barn fits the atmosphere. It's great to see that ice cream back at the Point where it belongs!
-Despite the lines at the season pass center, picture taking and pass distribution went by quick.
-Top Thrill Dragster was running efficently all day (or so it seemed.)
BAD:
-Maverick seems to be Cedar Point's new problem child, as it was having problems in the early morning.
-Raptor suffered periods of downtime throughout the day.
-After the long off-season, wouldn't you think the lights on the rides would be fixed? Power Tower wasn't fully lit up and Corkscrew had a lot of lights out.
-Front ride cars at night = a lot of bugs in the face.
-The prices at Panda Express were through the roof! $13 for a plate with 2 small sides? That's Cedar Point for ya!
I spent $11.27 I believe at Panda express for a plate of rice and chicken. Reasonable for theme park food, another side costing $3 or something really adds up as you can tell.
Bugs on the face should be no surprise.
P.S. That 11.27 included a drink.
Sounds like you had a good day. I hope that the lines are that short for Magnum when I go! :)
