It seems like things were against us from the start. One of the people who was going with us had gone out to a party the night before and had a hangover. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to go and he said yes. We left around 10 and figured we'd get there around 1:30. No luck with that, there was so much traffic once we got close, that it took us until 4:00 to finally get there. The worst part was that my car decided to choose then to start overheating and so any time I was sitting in traffic I had to have the heater on. This meant we had to sit in bumper to bumper traffic with the heat on and a hungover guy in the back. Needless to say, it sucked. Once we finally got into the park, it was PACKED. I mean, it was even more crowded than a nice Saturday in August. I was expecting it to be crowded, but this was insane. There were long lines for everything, including the food stands. Since we had come all this way, we were determined to not let the crowds get in our way.

We headed to Wicked Twister first and managed to get a ride after an hour wait. Wicked Twister is running as good as ever. After that, we checked out the wait on Dragster and decided to come back later. We went to MF and waited about 2 hours to ride, back seat. I had never ridden back before, and I was glad I did, it was great. While waiting, I noticed that the lights on it did seem really dim and I also saw the beam lights on Dragster. Man those things are bright.

After that, we got some fries and headed to Raptor. We had to fight our way through a huge crowd to get there. Once there, we waited about an hour before we rode. Raptor was a great ride as usual. Plus I did see the Raptor pumpkin that Raptor Jo was talking about. Very cool.

At this point, it was about 11. While we could have probably gotten one more ride in, we were sick of the crowds and decided to leave since it was a long drive home. There was no traffic on the way back and we got back alright.

Like I said in the beginning, it seems like everything was against us this trip. I had an overheating car, one of the people I was with was hungover and was complaining about everything including the waits, and we really did not get to do much at the Point. Now, I realize that Cedar Point had nothing to do with any of this, and I am not mad at them nor do I hold them responsible in any way. It was just a really bad coincidence. I think the biggest mistake I made was bringing someone who had been to a party the night before. I can have a good time even when waiting in line, but not if I have to hear someone complain about it every five minutes. Despite everything I still had a good time on the rides I rode and I thought CP did a good job with the Halloween decorations. Hopefully my next trip will be a little better.

It sounds like a horrible day. I have to agree, the crowds were really insane on Saturday.

Where would we be without CP?:)
