Headed to the Point for the first time this year on Saturday. After heading to the Sandusky Meijer's to buy season pass certificates, we headed to the park after some McDonald's.
The entire season pass validation process was much less painful than I thought it would be. We only had to wait about 15 minutes to get our pictures taken. We then entered the park which was surprisingly empty for a Saturday (that would change very shortly...)
We rode Magnum (paint looks great), Gemini, and Mean Streak (much smoother than normal) which were all walk-ons, and Magnum my friend and I were the only ones in the train! Then took a quick spin on Witch's Wheel, then headed to Millennium Force and waited about 45 minutes (second row, and great ride as always). Then the madness began....some sort of marching band invitational was going on, so 5 or so marching bands full of kids and chaperones invaded the park and made every single ride have ungodly waits.
After seeing how busy the park was getting, we took a break and ate lunch at Macaronis. Never been here before, and the food was pretty good (I got the Sicilian sub). Then we realized that we were going to have to wait for every single ride, so we accepted that and pressed forward. Rode Wicked Twister (40 minute wait, and got stuck sitting in the middle so not as fun), Chaos (15 minute wait), and maXair (45 minute wait....ride was fun but slighty over-rated in my mind). Then rode Disaster Transport with a 30 minute wait (I don't know what draws me to this ride even though I honestly don't like it...).
Then came the biggest surprise of the day: Dragster. This thing ran flawlessly all day, never breaking down once from what I saw (I wasn't staring at the ride all day, but everytime I saw it loaded trains were going over). We got in line and waited 1.5 hours, and the line never stopped moving. Rode in the green train and had an incredible ride. Seeing it run this good made me one happy camper!
Then rode Raptor (1 hour wait, and the guy getting busted smoking a joint...yes, a joint!, in line added some humor.) Rode in the front row, and it rocked! We then hopped on Demon Drop real quick and then headed home.
Highlights of the trip: Getting my first season pass so now I can go whenever I want, and seeing TTD run flawlessly like it should be! Overall, a great first trip.

Cedar Point rocks my socks.
I was one of the kids in the stupid marching band things. I was amazed at how crowded that park was. But even more amazing was the 20 minute wait that Magnum had all day long. I probably rode it ten times throughout the day. And for the first time in my life, it was actually useful to get the freeway for Raptor and Magnum.
