My friends and I are debating on camping on our Halloweekends trip this year. I found the KOA campground that is on Cleveland Rd, and relatively close and moderately priced. My question is about camping there in tents. There are six of us, with probably 3 tents. Do they have the pads you put your tents on, or not? If so, how big are they? I've searched everywhere to try to find an answer.
My tent site was just a flat lot with only glass and some shade trees. 3 tents should fit fine... unless they are 3 huge tents. You say there are 6 of you in 3 tents... so I assume that they are 3 two-man tents. That should work out fine for you.
The biggest problem for me was the fact that there are some very busy railroad tracks across Cleveland Rd. from the campground. Please keep that in mind.

^Indeed, the railroads are very busy and very very loud. Trains always blare their horn in the vicinity. I would also recommend the policy for tents. I don't know if they'll let you have 3 tents in one site. Based on my experience, that'll be a tight fit. But Bayshore is still pretty decent for the price.

Well actually its probably jsut going to be 4 of us now, in 2 tents. The tents are somewhat large I suppose. I think ours is a 10x8. But, is the campground pretty strict about the charges they add on? Like the 10 dollars for the second tent, and 4 dollars per extra person per night. Thats a little ridiculous.
In my experience (twice this year) they are pretty strict about wanting to charge you for every little extra thing. Outside of that, it's an alright campground. Kind of an odd location, and being so close to the busy train tracks sucks.
