If I remember correctly the last movie I saw on the Sign was the Nutty Professor 2. I also want to say that I remember those letters on the sign for over a year.
I drove past the Sandusky Drive-In when a backhoe was demolishing the structure underneath the screen. I think it was right after Thanksgiving. I should have taken the time to take some video or photos but that part of the road is a little difficult to just stop to do that especially when work is in progress.
In the interest of old drive-ins. There was one in the Cleveland area (Warrensville Heights) that was recently razed and has become a housing development by Rysar I think.
smoke 'em if you got 'em

I think the last time I went to a drive in was in the late 70's for a Planet of the Apes marathon (the original movies of course) or maybe it was the Clint Eastwood westerns marathon...don't quite remember. So you were parked in the back? ;)
What do YOU think, Jeff?? ;)
Sadly, when Gordon and I got home that night, my house had been broken into and ransacked.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
The Sandusky Register said that the area that was cleared was to be used by the Department of Natural Resources not a housing development.
If you read his post, gener was talking about a drive-in near Cleveland. Not Sandusky.
We still have our drive-in here in Norwalk. We go there at least once a month during the summer. Reasonable prices, first run movies and kids under 12 get in free.
