Safety

I just got back from Kings Island and let me tell u its a great place but a few things stand out....SAFETY...No turnstiles or even a host/hostess at the entrance...and little kiddie pens for the kids (geez whats happons when the kids gets out ) but check it out...just like six flags....Thats why no other park comes close...anyone have any input Thanks
Don't get me or HotHitz started on Six Flags.. we went last Thurs and I'm in the middle of writing a letter to Six Flags Corperate. It was an absolutly horrible trip.

SFWOA definition of height checking-

Once the kid is in the ride ready to go, then decide to check them if you feel like it.

Living in this area my entire life makes me care less about the well being of Cedar Point and most of the people it drags in, but I do give the place props for it's safety and concern for the people they allow on rides. Especially enforcing when kids want nothing more than to cry their way on....... GOD....... it makes my ears ring.
EXACTLY Joe!!!!!

Once on Double Loop.. 2 times on Batman.. and once on X-Flight.. they waited till after we were loaded to check.. Then of course the argument starts with the parents who thought the kid could ride...

Ok.. I'm not turning this into a bashing thread.. I've already finished draft #1 of my letter..

Two large thumbs up on the workers at CP. Just spent a day at Carowins and they really did not care about height.

Another thing that happened that I am pretty sure would NEVER happen at CP. Waiting for Thunder Road during one of its many delays, they sent an empty train. When the paltform worker was supposed to give the thumbs up, he shot the bird. That was nice to explain to my 7 year old who is very much into the workings and procedures on a coaster.....

Rock on CP! You are my Rockin Roller Coast!
Let's keep the bashing of the other parks at bay. Yes, I have seen the same thing at PKI and of all places BGW. In fact, at BGW, it tells you nothing of how tall you have to be until you get to the platform! I was on Alpengeist and watched 3 kids in front of me walk by the "line on the wall" and were at least 3 inches short of it, and they still rode! However, on Big Bad Wolf they have at the entrance the little metal thing like at CP, and one of the ops actually used it.
