You can always walk through the park to the Resort/Beach gate and run along the boardwalk to Sandcastle Suites and then along the road from Sandcastle to the campground. Run around the campground a couple times and then back to Sandcastle and along the boardwalk to the Resort/Beach gate. Just be sure to put your shirt on when walking through the park.
I was ganna so do board walk PR beach...beach runs are great...did that while I was there...that loose sand up near the boardwalk ally gets your legs, then close to the water its pretty compact for quick sprints or if you want a more stable running surface...

The run is nice along the boardwalk to Sandcastle, however one warning: The geese. When I worked there I tried this run a few times and there are some ornery Canada Geese that linger by the sidewalks and hiss. If anything, take the employee bus back off point and run down First Street into town.
My coaster hierarchy at Cedar Point: Magnum, Millennium, Mean Streak, Wicked Twister, Dragster, Blue Streak, Gemini, Raptor, Mantis, Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Mine Ride, Gatekeeper, Maverick (Disaster Transport and Wildcat would have gone before Gatekeeper and Maverick)
Many runners like early morning workouts, and a suggestion about doing so on the boardwalk: Watch out for the sweepers!
These industrial-strength machines are like massive snow blowers that move quickly and literally kick up a ton of sand in the process. If you are running the boardwalk and see one coming, don't assume that just getting off the path will be good enough - the driver will not see you. Get clear and take cover or you will be pelted with a virtual sand storm.
Pop your head into Breakers and see if they have a measured course mapped out. We used to have something we could give to the guests that would show a mile or mile and a half circuit.

I know this isn't about running but before I start up a new thread people interested in this topic might also be in the know about any outdoor location to shoot hoops? Also, if the employee cafeteria has any healthy options available?
Top Steel: New Texas Giant
Top Wood: Timberwolf (don't judge me..)

Yes to both. The Associate Rec Center has a basketball court, volleyball court, and a soccer field. This is in the Commons housing complex. The rec center also has a grill that offers salads, etc.
The employee cafeteria (Best Day Bistro) has various entrees besides the grilled and fried stuff, as well as a salad bar and prepared salads. Prices there are pretty reasonable.
