Demand?
Is this perhaps one of the innovations due our new CEO? If so, please bring back Richard Kinzel.
One of the CEO's primary tasks is to ensure the company's health. Making money is sort of an important mechanism for company health.

I checked the rates and noticed that for rooms in the Bon Air section it says "Room includes 2 Double Beds. New for 2012, Room features include updated fixtures and dr in the room and bathroom." I'm not sure what dr is supposed to mean. As far as room rate increases, with the RETURN promotional code the rates look very similar to what they were for early May last year.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Since the mystery addition is in both the room and the bathroom, perhaps it is a hair dryer. Rates for early season with the return code are similar to last year, but from mid-June on the increase is considerable. It is probably correct to say that it is a supply and demand thing. We stay at the Hotel a lot, probably 20+ days over four visits but that will be scaled back a bunch this summer. Maybe next year it will be time to do Disney instead.

Can't agree more. Just compared cottage rates in July with last years, the increase is about 3%. Many resort destinations are discounting prices, giving deals or generally lowering the overall cost of a visit. Flights are cheap and Florida/California are real nice in May and platinum passes are good at KBF...ummmmm..... KBF is only about 15 minutes from Disneyland...ummmm
If someone can get me into Club 33, I'm on my way...
Thats the dynamic of price increases. Goal is to maximize profits (not necessarily volume). If you increase your prices, you will lose some customers who would have purchased at the lower price but who won't buy at the higher price. But a lot of people will continue to buy even at the higher price. Depending on how many people you lose compared to how many people you retain, you can make higher profits with the higher prices and fewer customers.
Looking at the list of Hotel Breakers amenities and restaurants on the new CP website, there is not any mention of new night time opportunities as someone mentioned earlier. Looks exactly the same as last year.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
