Rookie Seasonal: Chance of getting a coaster...?

Next year, I plan on working at Cedar Point. It will be my first time working there, and I wonder if I have a good chance of working a coaster. I'll probably send in an application as soon as they accept them. I probably won't be able to start working until early to mid June because I won't get out of school, and I'll have to speak at the graduation, etc.

So, straight up...what are my chances?

15 coasters, 14,000 applications....you do the math. But the chances aren't that bad. This is my first year and I got a coaster. But I don't know if they want new people on the rides in the middle of June. If you want to maximize your chances for a coaster, start working as early as possible.

Next year, I will be applying and if I do work it will be my first year. I'm gonna try to go for a coaster also.

There are many factors. You have to interview well. The ability to speak and interact with people is an advantage. Some sort of college or college plans are also a plus. If you get assigned to a circular, there are chances to move to a coaster. Maybe you will get a coaster and want a move to matterhorn triangle. You never know...

Yeah, I'm definitely college bound. I'm the first in my class, and I hope to go to Purdue to become a Mechanical Engineer. I was thinking that being on one of the smaller coasters like Gemini, Corkscrew, or even Magnum (smaller :)) would be better than having one of the bigger ones. Although it would be cool to be an op for Raptor...they're fast!

Snoopy Rocks! On Ice starts June 22--Do you think they'll let me drive the Zamboni machine?

I want to drive the Zamboni!
