Per Discovery's website...

On Aug 16 2004 @ 06:00 PM on Discovery Channel "Extreme Rides 2003" - Dare to ride a roller coaster that exceeds 120 miles per hour or soar 400 feet upward into the sky, viewers explore the technology and thrills behind the highest, fastest, tallest and scariest amusement rides to open in parks this past year. I also taped "Ultimate Guide: Roller Coasters". It was also a pretty good coaster show. It was the one that featured that girl, and the her male friend who was afraid of coasters. They ventured to a few California parks.

Yeah that's Elissa White (er, Alvey). I talked to her on AIM, has anyone else? Or Robb for that matter?

Nope. Havn't talked to eathier of them. What is her SN? I have seen extreme rides 2003. I didn't like it as much as 2002. They also featured this show and it was a contest to see who was the best extreme rider or something. They had to do all this stuff, like sit on a coaster with a ball in a cup and try to make it stay.

Exteme Rides 2003 and World's Largest Amusment Park were the only good coasters show I know of. Travel Channel only makes what, two new shows a year. It seems like every show on there is a repeat. I want to see a show featuring Wicked Twister and Top Thrill Dragster.

<3Mav

just got through watching some show on the national gegraphic channel about roller coasters...two long segments about cedar point...top thrill dragster and power tower...
I just watched that as well, and it had some long footage of CP. 10-15 min maybe? It's called Ultimate Thrill Rides, and is on National Geographic Channel again this Saturday at 2:00 pm. It's also on again today at 11 tonight. I'm probably going to record it just because, but it wasn't that good. It wasn't as good as Extreme Rides 2003, imo. But it did show CP for awhile, even thought the commentator said the Dragster reaches a speed of 115mph. Ya, for a split second, and keeps on accelerating ;)!

Wow, somebody got that date wrong by 103 years. That's what I would call more than just a little bit off.

Not sure what the 1967 represents, but I copied it directly from www.tvguide.com

I have no clue. I know the tv shows are wrong sometimes, ie Dragster goes 115 mph, but not by that much.

right... I just watched "Waterparks 2004" and they refered to Six Flags World's of Adventure. This was obviously either early 2004 or not 2004 at all when they made this show.

The Ultimate Thrill show said they were going to Six Flags: Great America in Aurora, Ohio. Isn't it in Illinois? Otherwise it was a good show.
I also got the World's Largest Amusement Park on tape Friday night. Not bad, except for the guy who said Raptor was built in 1995. It was great to see the behind the scenes stuff as well, of course, I didn't notice anyone in the Employee board bragging about getting Laundry duty.

Goodbye MrScott
