Frontiertown Carnival anyone? Maybe Frontiertown is going to be transformed into a traveling carnival and the 'they' are the carnies. And the feature attraction of course is RMC mean streak.

An old west traveling carnival could be interesting and kind of cool, especially if they make a new midway, but pretty sure who's coming are the people in the posters not carnys.
First ride; Magnum 1994
I'm sure I'm wrong but here is my opinion on the renewed theming overall of the area. I think that AM1870 is mot as simple as just the year they opened. The broadcast also mentioned something new out west and the contest is requires you to write why it is the beat place to live. In 1870 it was also the begining of probably the most famous wild west town. Dodge city. It started as a fantastic place to live. But, when the railroad went in cowboys would heard their branded Texas Longhorns, or Mavericks up the trails to Dodge City, Kansas, where they would then get on a train to Chicago for slaughter. After time this became a large money maker which brought in some of the most notorious wild west characters, villains, and sherrifs. It was considered the most wild and unruly place in the West. I think that the entire area will be rebranded as some type of steampunk Dodge City. Cedar point will finally theme an area as well as KBF does. This will be a couple year project, with RMC Mean streak getting a villain name, and the centerpiece for a fantastically themed area, with a new gate entrance at some point.
Just my 2 cents.
The answer has to lie in the cards. Maybe extremely simple - but for such a record breaking ride - a simple and straight forward name?
The Gambler?
I suppose you may not get this if you are under the age of say, 40.
Promoter of fog.
Overheard at Mean Streak construction site:
"Hey, Jim Bob? Now how the hell are we supposed to get this long curvy piece of metal up under there?"
"I dunno. Just hook it up to this thing and keep tryin, I guess"
"Ouch, man. That's my toe"
"Sorry"
"Ok, keep tryin... a little more, a little more... ok there!"
"Wait, man. It's upside down. Do over."
"Nah, man. It's lunch. I'm gonna motor away on my cool as hell scooter with the milk crate on the back. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!"

Wild West games. Doc Holiday, calamity Jane , just to name a couple, played poker and faro. These people, and I quote "are considered Deserado's". I hope this is not the name. Because then all I could think of is the ballad from the Eagles. Lol But still could be it.
The theme has to be tied into gambling somehow. Poker chip in the announcement card. 4 playing cards with as mentioned earlier on the Diamond card not present. Also, why the Joker? Tony 'Calamity' Clark ties in perfectly with these old Wild West gambling theme. Calamity Jane and Jesse James were Wild West outlaws. Could very well be Desperados. Would fit the 'they'
Also, anybody see the picture from luminosity? Look closely at the top of the page and you can see the 3 characters from the wanted posters. Above them?
'Outlaws'

Would be a good name if there wasn't already a coaster named that.
I noticed there was not an ace card. Smoking Aces...hmm no. I feel like we are close. Come on guys we can figure this out.
"What's mine is mine!!!" fits a prospector theme. Missing suit is diamonds. There was a fake diamond mine in 1872 but that's two years late. Could also be a gold or silver mine.
