Well its official, White Water Landing is now closed forever.
I think I speak for everyone when I say "farewell WWL, you will be missed."
Share any of your fondest memories that you have had during its 23 years of operation.

We'll have a WWL tribute, probably sometime next week.
Ok. Feel free to delete the topic if you want Walt.
Sorry.:) I just thought that I would announce that it's officially closed.(which is why I posted at 8:00:13 PM)

No, I mean that'll we'll have a tribute section - pictures, video, memorabilia. Feel free to discuss here, though.
Always sad to see a ride go, although I didn't ride it much. I just hope that whatever replaces it fits in with the Frontiertown theme and doesn't turn that area into another concrete pad.
Cedar Point rocks my socks.
Me and my friend rode WWL 4 times today. Never had ridden it before until today and when we got off the first time, we both though it really was a pretty good little ride. Not to wet, and just fun. sad to see it go, but i'm sure CP will put something in that will replace the area well.

My little girl,(6) and I have ridden WWL every trip over the last two years. We love it and today when we got off for the last time at about 6:30 she looked up at me with tears in her eyes and said "Can we ask them pretty please not to tear the ride down?" It was a special ride that I loved both as an adult and a child and it creats a void in CP's lineup that I hope they fill soon.
I'm happy I got my last ride in on the last day. I thought it was a cool thing to put up the writing that won the last ride.
I want a peice of the turning floor, I'd frame it and hang it on a wall in the house.:)
"were going in a whole new direction"....backwords
I never rode it this season, I'm ashamed of myself. I did ride it in 2004 during halloweekends. It was a cold ride, but it was a fun ride even when it wasn't cold. I hope whatever goes in White Water Landings spot, uses the current station. I also want to see pictures of them demolishing it so we can see progress and guess whats going in like we're doing for next years attraction. Maybe show pictures of the land clearing for whatever is coming in 2007.
I got to ride last night and tonight (Sunday). On the last night, one of the Sneek Peeks camera people took pictures of riders in the station, so I got mine taken. I got my picture, but I had to wait over 30 minutes for the photo to reach their computers near the front gate... and I was parked at Hotel Breakers... and the park was closed.
But I'm alive and well in a hotel not too far from the park...
MOO!!!
I am very sad to see WWL go, when I go to the point with my family that is one of the only rides that we ever ride together...it will be sadly missed.

Everybody I've told this to can't believe it. In fact, I had a friend cry because she said that WWL was her and her dad's favorite ride to go on together.
Her dad died not to long ago and that was the last ride they rode when they went back in Sep.:( *** Edited 10/31/2005 3:51:35 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

I rode it today. Lots of non-specific memories of it. I'll miss it, but I'll probably get over it quickly.

Rode it 11 times last Sunday and twice today. I am very sad to see it go since its been a ride that I've "grown up on" (though I am still very immature). I didn't win the contest, however my last ride was with Tony and Tyler around 7:40 and I just paid $8.49 for my Kodak moment with them. It was like a dream come true, last ride on WWL with Tony and Tyler, the great On Point webbers. Maybe next year my other dream will come true...riding a ride with Jeff and Walt lol. *** Edited 10/31/2005 7:24:30 AM UTC by ejh1701***

I hope they have something, somewhere, where you can take a small child and get a "thrilling splash" (not a "soak") on a hot summer day. Without WWL, they don't have that.
I'll miss WWL (as will my kids,) but agree that the space can (and will) be better used.
Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...
I remember we went with a ton of my friends and six of us screamed our heads off for the fun of it. I'm gonna miss it. it was my last ride this season

I thought my last ride was last weekend, and made a last minute decision to go to CP closing day so got another one in.
I've got lots of memories of WWL, and rode it every trip, but I'm sure there will be something cool to replace it. CP really hasn't disappointed me yet.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
