We're going the last week of June for our very first time. We're a family of coaster fanatics and my girls are only 11 & 13 and thankfully they are both tall so they'll be able to ride all the rides!
Which rides take photos? and how much are they?
I'm trying to budget for the trip. We're actually calling this the Great Coaster Vacation, since we're trying to hit most of the top coasters on the East Coast and of course, we HAD to go to CP!!!! After CP, we're going to Holiday World, Kings Island, Dorney Park (just because it on our way home) and Great Adventure (it's only an hour from home). Later in the summer we're hitting a couple of parks in PA and New England.
At Cedar Point a lot of the rides run $10 specials at different times through out the season. Shoot the Rapids also has cameras.
Kings Island:
Diamondback
Beast
Woodstock Express
Great Pumpkin Coaster
Vortex
Boo Blaster
Firehawk
Visual Scan!
First Top Thrill Dragster train of 2011!
Rollbacks: 1st Triple Rollback of 2009!
The onride photos usually cost $8-9 for a key-chain, and $10-13 for a souvenir photo. Here are the rides at Dorney Park that offer and onride photo.
Steel Force
Hydra
Talon
(there could be one more)
If you are getting a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass, (which may be a good idea), some of the parks do offer a discount for onride photos. Kings Island offers a 15% discount and Dorney Park offers a "buy one get one" deal.
If I am not mistaken, if you have a Platinum pass you get a couple of bucks off of ride photos.
For anyone interested the ride photo for Maverick this year is different. There is only 1 picture taken of you during the ride now and the pic is taken in the rock area after you come out of the launch tunnel and go around the corner with the water cannons.
GO IRISH!!

I'm not sure if you should trust this, but the Ride Op said yesterday that the other one wasn't working right now. So well see.
I think there also were times last season when the camera in the tunnel was down.
Does anyone kknow if Raptor is taking videos or pictures this year? I am not 100% sure, but I don;t think I remember seeing the video cameras on the back of the seats last year.
