I hate to say it though...I'd love to be on that one ride that shouldn't be dispatched and valley just to say I was there and experience a valley...One can dream right? :D

You know its serious wind when magnum and blue streak of all coasters are closed!
Leave the hypercoaster alone
MF, Maverik, and Leviathan have valleyed today:

It just wasn't a good day for the park period...Except flat rides I'm sure got the hell used out of them, which should boost their attendance thus far this year quite nicely :) However yeah...it was pretty crazy. I do admit though after two valleys I'm sure they weren't risking anything else going down so it was just best to call it...I'm still very surprised with Mccain valleying where it did, and even with it's design having that much of an issue with it..I expected it with millie, but not Mccain

Not sure if anybody else noticed this today but was trying to take advantage of ERT and went from Hotel Breakers straight to Maverick (which of course was closed like I soon found out almost everything else was too) so walked around the park for a few hours and rode MaxAir and Blue Streak then decided to call it a day and head back home to Michigan since I'd already spent almost 40 hours in the park since Thursday...BUT, while leaving Breakers parking lot and heading around the Penninsula to the exit, when passing by Maverick we noticed a train that was stuck 1/2 to 3/4 of the way thru the ride that maintenence workers were using a skylift with some sort of pully system to pull the train thru the remainder of the ride.
Huh. We rode Maverick today around 6ish...I guess we got lucky.
None of my kids rides were down due to wind today. :) Planet and Camp Snoopy were full-go.
Promoter of fog.
It's one thing for rides to go down mechanical than weather related conditions. You can be mad at mechanical, but weather is unfortunately unavoidable and not planned. I guess check the weather and stay home if it says windy?

Maverick valleyed during its morning test run. I stood there fir about an hour talking to a rideop and a couple other park guests while maintenance winched the train through.. The ride finally reopened around 4:30 or 5:00.
Millennium Force also valleyed on the island during its morning test runs. Not a whole lot the park can do to get it back up during the day, and even if they winched the train through or took it off and put it back on the transfer track I doubt they would want to chance it.
We made a lap through the park around 6:00 and it was amazing just how dead the park had become. They were even closing most of the food stands and game stands early. Would have been a great day to ride if it wasn't for the wind.
I'm mostly disappointed Skyhawk was down all weekend with no activity taking place around it.
We made do with the wind though and still managed to ride 4 coasters and could have gotten a couple other in if we had tried.
Either CP Fansite or CP Rundown, I forget which said that Skyhawk is down indefinitely waiting for a part.

I can confirm that it was down all weekend and not once was there a person over in that area working on the ride.
Let's Get Weird.
We watched Maverick test after they got the train out of the valley, and it was barely making it through the rolls at that point. Can't believe they actually got it going given the conditions. Overall a pretty miserable day to be at the park given all that was down for wind, but a bad day at Cedar Point beats a good day most anywhere else. I'm with Kevin, my daughter had blast on the kid rides at least.
