Well, I hate to break it to you but Gatekeeper has been broken for the majority of the night so it may or may not be open for you.
^ Broken as in mechanical failure? Or down because of the weather?
May The Millennium Force Be With You!
I couldn't be sure. It was a half hour after I got off and the weather did not seem to change that much and almost all of the line cleared out so I am guessing it was a mechanical failure but I could be wrong. And to answer the question of it breaking down, most of the time it is just that somebody has thrown up and they have to clean it.
ok, so speculating that the ride might be down for days without the proper information is a bit unfair to suggest. I'm sure whatever the case may be it will be running again soon.

What kind of a person throws up on a roller coaster...seriously. People like that need a few well-delivered tolchoks to the gut for such repulsive, uncontrollable behavior.
It was down for heavy winds at about 6, and was still closed when we left at 9:30. Probably just weather conditions and not mechanical.
But I'm sure that on my first visit to the park it will be down, so no one should get in line for it that day.
In fact, don't even park near the front of the park, use the front gate, or eat in the front of the park. Just reride Woodstock Express that day :)

You've gotta be kidding me! I got the park only a 1/2 hour after it closed.

Then again, the webcam showed GK testing around midnight last night. I don't know why they would be testing it so late unless there were some mechanical problems that needed sorting out...
Thrills Around the Corner!
It's possible it could be mechanical, but I heard employees say it was down due to wind. 45-50mph gusts at the top of the lift hill.

Maybe overnight maintenance was testing for some reason, doesn't mean there was a mechanical problem during operating hours.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Maybe they were checking to see if they got the lights fixed. :)

Perhaps they made it so the seats flipped while the train was running.

I just got out- Gatekeeper DOWN, Top Thrill Dragster DOWN, Millennium Force DOWN, Magnum DOWN, WINDseeker (notice the WIND in caps) DOWN, Gemini DOWN, Raptor DOWN, Blue Streak (for crying out out loud) DOWN... I'm embarrassed to call Cedar Point my home park. What a joke. Troika... operating.

Why are you embarrassed? It's called mother nature clashing with safely operating rides? It's one day out of the whole 2013 season..I'm sure you'll be alright. Flat rides really don't have wind problems, I don't think I've ever seen Monster or antique cars valley causing a safety issue and a potential ride evac
Corkscrew, Power Tower, Magnum, & Monster/ Witches Wheel Crew 2011
Yeah, those rides are not down for maintenance. High winds and cold temperatures are not friends to coasters. You can either make the right call and shut the rides down or the weather will make the call for you when the coaster valleys.
